Kim Kardashian West‘s family is continuing to rally around her in the wake of her horrifying armed robbery.
It’s been almost three weeks since Kardashian West, 36, was robbed at gunpoint in Paris and she has stepped away from social media and public life since the incident. However, that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t been seeing her family including Caitlyn Jenner.
“She, of course, is just being a good mom, and you know just making sure that she’s okay,” Jenner’s friend and
I Am Cait costar Candis Cayne told reporters at the TransNation Festival 15th Annual Queen USA Transgender beauty pageant held at the Theatre at the Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. (Jenner also attended the Saturday event.)
“No one should go through that,” Cayne said of Kardashian West. “And no one should ever be questioned about going through that. And it was a traumatic experience.”
“I asked Cait how she was doing,” Cayne continued. “She said she’s doing okay, and you know she’s getting through it, you know? It’s horrifying.”
Since the Oct. 3 incident, sources have described Kardashian West as “withdrawn” a stark contrast to the social media maven she was prior to the robbery. Cayne has a great deal of empathy for Kardashian West’s harrowing experience.
“A lot of people just think about the Kardashian family is like these people that are just in make-believe land, but if you imagined yourself in that situation, sitting in a room, and having that happen to you, it’s terrifying.”
