Lady Gaga Calls Out Melania Trump on Anti-Bullying 'Hypocrisy'

The Trumps are a not-so-perfect political illusion, according to Lady Gaga.

Tweeting at Melania Trump on Sunday afternoon, the Oscar-nominated singer-songwriter called out the presidential nominee's wife over what she alleges to be the Yugoslavia native's conflicting stances on anti-bullying.

"To say u will stand for 'anti-bullying' is hypocrisy," Gaga, who previously established the non-profit Born This Way Foundation, aimed at combating online bullying and promoting mental health awareness, tweeted. "Your husband is 1 of the most notorious bullies we have ever witnessed."

Gaga's comments come on the heels of Melania's Thursday appearance on the Donald Trump campaign trail, where she delivered a speech to a crowd of supporters in Philadelphia, during which she discussed her desire to eliminate internet bullying if she becomes First Lady of the United States.

"Like anything that is powerful, [social media] can have a bad side," she said.

"Children and teenagers can be fragile. They're hurt when they're made fun of or made to feel less in looks or intelligence. This makes their life hard and can force them to hide and retreat. Our culture has gotten too mean and too rough, especially to children and teenagers. It is never ok when a 12-year-old girl or boy is mocked, bullied, or attacked... We have to find a better way to talk to each other, to disagree wit heach other, to respect each other."

Donald has come under fire throughout the election cycle for his comments on women (particularly Rosie O'Donnell and Alicia Machado) and illegal immigrants -- many of which have been made via his Twitter account.

I feel sorry for Rosie 's new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with @Rosie--a true loser.

Last week, Gaga slammed the Republican candidate on a television show in Japan, where she spent several days promoting her latest studio album, Joanne.

"The truth is that, as an insider, because I am a celebrity, I have insight into the type of person that Donald Trump is," she said. "The truth is that we celebrities know that he is an actor, and that this is an act. So, we are standing with Hillary [Clinton] not just because she is far superior as the choice for president, but we are also standing with her because it would be a complete disaster to elect someone that is essentially a political impostor."

Gaga also used her social media accounts to warn American voters of the woes of electing a candidate like Donald Trump when they head to the national polls on Tuesday.

"Young people listen up," she wrote. "We need to mobilize now, #VoteHillary and stop this dangerous man from continuing to divide and wreck our democracy."
