Abraham Attah on set of 'Spiderman Homecoming' movie

Young actor Abraham Attah has been spotted on set after he landed a role in new movie “Spiderman Homecoming".

The Independent Spirit, Marcello Mastroianni award-winner joined the casts of superhero film ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in June this year.

The young actor had his breakthrough after featuring in Beasts of No Nation.

The latest batch of photos from the Atlanta set of Spider-Man: Homecoming has offered a first look at some of the many supporting stars of the much-anticipated Marvel reboot.

As students and faculty of Peter Parker’s Midtown School of Science and Technology, stars LauraHarrier, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, and Abraham Attah were spotted on the set.

Directed by Jon Watts, Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland in the title role, with Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey Jr., and Michael Keaton among several others.

Two ECG workers jailed for stealing transformers

Two workers of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have been sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for each count for stealing 83 transformers from the company’s warehouse.
The two convicts, Eric Yaw Darko, a driver, and Perfect Ama Agbo, an electrical foreman, are said to have acted together with a security man of the ECG, identified as Samuel Kofi Frimpong, who is currently at large.
The three, who are with the ECG Material Division in Tema, stole the transformers from the warehouse and sold them to individuals.

Agbo, the electrical foreman, is said to have defaced the transformers by removing the name plate and other identification marks on them before selling them.

They were charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit crime and stealing.
At the end of the trial, the Accra Circuit Court, presided over by Ms Ellen Amoah, found them guilty after the prosecution had been able to make a case against them.
They sentences are to run concurrently.

Woman Charged For Pouring Acid On Boyfriend

The 26-year-old woman who allegedly poured acid on her boyfriend, Esther Enyonam Pekyi has been charged.

She was charged with attempted murder but the Attorney General today revised it to causing harm using an offensive weapon.

Last year, Police in Accra arrested Esther who had been on the run for months.

This was after Citi News provided the Police with intelligence leading to her arrest.

Esther allegedly poured the controlled chemical on her boyfriend, Eric Ohemeng, a student of the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) after a disagreement between the two.

Eric with support from Citi FM and GIMPA survived the near death incident after series of surgeries.

SAMA winning, five member Kwaito fusion music group, Dbn Nyts, have released a new street anthem titled Bless Me featuring award winning hip-hop sensation Kwesta and Infinite Boys.
Bless Me follows the release of their highly successful smash debut hit single, Shumaya, featuring Trademark and Idols 2012 Top 16 finalist Zinhle Ngidi, which blazed radio airwaves across the country, received over 4 million downloads and over 1 million YouTube views.
Shumaya’s traction propelled the group to three South African Music Awards (SAMAs) for Best Collaboration, the SAMPRA Award for Highest Radio Airplay of the Year and SAMRO Award for Highest Radio Airplay Composers’ Award at the recent 22nd annual award ceremony in Durban.

International Star AKA Continues To Grow In The USA

Hot off the heels of being the only African musician to perform at the BET Experience main stage in Los Angeles; the 3rdWrldBoss, AKA, returned to the USA this time for a performance in New York where he was yet again the only African musician included on the line-up.
AKA’s 4th of July performance at the Everyday People’s #EverydayAfrique event was well received by all in attendance with numerous people taking to social media to express their awe and appreciation of his set.
The #EverydayAfrique event media partner, Okay Africa, also took to social media to express how “epic” the event was with South Africa’s AKA.
