Olympics medallists accuse former USA Gymnastics doctor of sexually abusing her & other female athletes

Two USA Olympic medalists have alleged in court they were sexually abused by a longtime team physician for USA Gymnastics, Dr. Larry Nassar .
According to one of the athletes identified as Jane J.D. Doe in court papers Dr Larry sexually abused her from 1994 to 2000 while the other gymnast, Rachael Denhollander, filed a report against Nassar last month at Michigan State University.

The law suit also alleges that USA Gymnastics association knew about the sexual abuse but refused to do anything about it because it feared a sex abuse scandal would damage its fund-raising efforts.
"Unfortunately, they have proven time and again that they are more interested in protecting the reputation of their multi-million-dollar enterprise than the child athletes who are entrusted to their care," said the Olympian's attorney, John Manly. Sadly, I believe that our client is not the only victim and others will soon come forward.

USA Gymnastics said in a statement that the organizatio…

Kick-starting this trend was the Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo when he promised to build a factory each in all 216 districts in Ghana if he emerges winner of the upcoming elections.

Making babies without eggs may be possible, say scientists

Scientists say early experiments suggest it may one day be possible to make babies without using eggs.
They have succeeded in creating healthy baby mice by tricking sperm into believing they were fertilising normal eggs.
The findings in Nature Communications, could, in the distant future, mean women can be removed from the baby-making process, say the researchers.
For now, the work helps to explain some of the details of fertilisation.

End of mum and dad?The University of Bath scientists started with an unfertilised egg in their experiments.  They used chemicals to trick it into becoming a pseudo-embryo.
These "fake" embryos share much in common with ordinary cells, such as skin cells, in the way they divide and control their DNA.
The researchers reasoned that if injecting sperm into mouse pseudo-embryos could produce healthy babies, then it might one day be possible to achieve a similar result in humans using cells that are not from eggs.
In the mouse experiments, the odds of …

“I don’t think they call the women. I don’t know if it is just me. But they don’t call us. I mean they are just calling because they want to have diner or lunch with you”, she said with a slant of humour.

If You Do Journalism Well, You Should Make Lots Of Money – Adom Otchere

Host of Metro TV’s Good Evening Ghana program is convinced that it is possible for journalists to make “a lot of money” contrary to popular perceptions that the profession is economically unattractive.
According to Paul Adom Otchere “if you do journalism well, it pays”, he argued on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Tuesday.

In a discussion that focused on journalists and their relationships with politicians, Adom Otchere argued that a “professional journalist” can make money from advertising revenue.
“I have walked out and picked advertising revenue for myself” he revealed insisting that good ratings for a media practitioner should reflect an increase in his economic worth.
He explained that when a journalist works hard for 15 or two decades, the employee becomes an “important part of business” which the employer must recognize and reward.
Paul Adom Otchere said he sees nothing wrong for a journalist to receive a reward from a client or advertiser just as a lawyer could receive a gift…
