Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris are reportedly friends again

If the splits and fights embedded in the latest entertainment news cycle left you asking, "Can't we all just get along?" a new report from Taylor Swift-land suggests that yes, in fact, we can.
Sources tell TMZ the "Shake It Off" singer and her ex, Calvin Harris, are back on good terms.
Though they are only texting at this point, insiders claim the couple, who split in the beginning of the summer after 15 months of dating, have re-established a friendship. According to the site, they began communicating again in the wake of Taylor's much-publicized breakup with Tom Hiddleston, whom she started dating shortly after news surfaced that she and Calvin had called it quits.

While there's been no confirmation on who made the first move towards a reconciliation, the two are reportedly done fighting about things like who deserves credit for "This Is What You Came For," the song Taylor wrote for Calvin.

Soon after news of Calvin and Taylor's …

Caf's Nyantakyi and Camara elected to Fifa council

Kwesi Nyantakyi and Almamy Kabele Camara have been elected to fill two new Confederation of African Football seats on the Fifa Council.
Nyantakyi is president of the Ghana Football Association and Camara, from Guinea, is a Caf vice-president.

They will complete a seven-member African delegation at a meeting of the expanded Fifa Council on 13-14 October.
The meeting in Zurich should begin talks to expand the 2026 World Cup to 40 teams and start the bidding process.

Fifa president Gianni Infantino, who attended Caf's Extraordinary General Assembly in Cairo on Thursday, said: "Africa has a very important role in football.
"We have to move into action and let's give Africa the place it deserves in world football. Africa will benefit most from a proposed increase in the football investment program.
"It is my wish that a 40-team World cup will have at least two more slots for Africa. Caf must support Fifa to make this possible."

Ferrari's new $2.2 million super car is already sold out

The bad news: It's $2.2 million. And it's already sold out.
Ferrari on Thursday unveiled the convertible version its LaFerrari at the Paris Motor Show. It's called LaFerrari Aperta, which means "open" in Italian. It's got all the wonders of the LaFerrari — including a hybrid950 horsepower V-12 engine that's derived from the company's Formula One cars.

It does zero to 60 miles per hour in less than three seconds and tops out at more than 200 miles an hour. And it's got the same curvaceous, snarling looks of the LaFerrari. But this one comes with your choice: a removable carbon-fiber top or soft cover.

Ferrari will only be making 209 of these cars, and it will be keeping nine. That left only 200 for sale. But as the company had three times as many interested buyers as it had Apertas to sell, every one of those cars was sold out ahead of Thursday's launch.
The Aperta is part of Ferrari's strategy as a public company of expanding sales …

Daddy Lumba is next to Jesus Christ - Lawyer Oppong

Private Legal Practitioner Yaw Oppong has likened legendary musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu affectionately called Daddy Lumba to Jesus Christ, saying he would gladly worship him after Jesus Christ and David because of his unprecedented songs.

Eulogising the talented man who is celebrating his 52nd birthday today, the Legal Practitioner remarked that Lumba has positively influenced the lives of many people through his songs.

He believes Lumba has spiced up so many relationships both locally and internationally and contributed immensely to the music industry.

According to him, Just like Jesus Christ won souls, Lumba has also rekindled broken relationships with his soothing songs and therefore deserves to be acknowledged.

The Central University College (CUC) Law Lecturer stated that due to his love for the musician’s songs, he will bow to him if Jesus is put aside.

Speaking on Abusua FM’s Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, he further remarked that Lumba’s soothing songs are sort …

Piers Morgan comes for Kim K over her nude selfie, calls her a 'Slapper'

'Slapper' is an offensive word used to describe a promiscuous, vulgar woman (a woman who has had sex with a lot of men). British journalist Piers Morgan branded Kim a 'Slapper' because she shared a new naked selfie and he thinks it sends a"completely wrong message to the millions of young girls who follow her that the only path to feminist success is flashing breasts."

We Don’t Have A-4 Sheets – Accra Psychiatric Hospital laments

The dire situation of the Accra Psychiatric Hospital has deteriorated to the point where the facility does not even have access to basic items such as A-4 sheets to take down minor but critical information. A member of the Hospital’s Public Relations Unit, Edwina Ankomah, lamented on Eyewitness News that, the hospital is in dire need of basic things like “gloves, disinfectants, and stationary like paper.” “Just a plain sheet – because someone will walk in and would want a medical report for school or something and we don’t have even an A-4 sheet,” she added.

Persons who visited the Accra Psychiatric Hospital on Wednesday, were turned away, and the hospital’s administrators have said they were compelled to take such a decision due to worsening financial constraints. “The little we have, we have to have able to take care of those on the ward,” Mrs Ankomah said, hence the hospital management’s decision. She narrated that, the situation “got worse in July when our suppliers d…

Trump's fortune drops $800m in one year

"Part of the beauty of me is that I'm very rich," Donald Trump once said, but according to Forbes magazine he's much less rich than a year ago.
The business magazine has reappraised the Republican White House hopeful's personal wealth and found it has haemorrhaged $800m since 2015.
Forbes now estimates the real estate magnate's net worth at $3.7bn (£2.7bn).

The publication said the decrease was mainly due to the "softening" of the New York property market.
Mr Trump, who once wrote a book called Midas Touch, has said the country needs a dealmaker-in-chief in the White House.
At Monday's presidential debate, he said: "I have a tremendous income … it's about time that this country had somebody running it that has an idea about money."
So how did he lose $800m?
Forbes, which has been counting Mr Trump's wealth for more than three decades, cites the decline of the New York retail and office real estate market for the slump in his…

Obama: Congress' veto override of 9/11 bill 'a mistake'

US President Barack Obama has called the Senate's vote to override his veto on a bill that allows families of the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks to sue Saudi Arabia's government a mistake.
Calling it a "political vote", Obama said on Wednesday the bill would set "a dangerous precedent" that could put US troops and interests at risk.
"If we eliminate this notion of sovereign immunity, then our men and women in uniform around the world could potentially start seeing ourselves subject to reciprocal loss," Obama said during a town hall meeting-style interview on CNN, referring to potential lawsuits.

Earlier on Wednesday, the US Congress passed into law the controversial bill that allows family members of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabia for its alleged backing of the attackers.

Both the Senate and House voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday in favour of the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, or JASTA.
