Khloe Kardashian 'Engaged' Claim Is Late And Wrong

Khloe Kardashian is NOT engaged, despite a report that’s both late and wrong. Gossip Cop can again set the record straight.
MediaTakeOut blares in a headline on Friday, “It’s Just Been CONFIRMED… Khloe Kardashian Is ENGAGED To Tristan Thompson… But Is She Even… DIVORCED FROM LAMAR YET???” The accompanying story states, “In Touch Weekly just confirmed that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are engaged.”
From there, the webloid quotes the tabloid, which says, “Now that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are engaged, In Touch can exclusively reveal details on the couple’s wedding. Khloe and Tristan are now in the works of getting their own reality show, and are planning to marry in front of the cameras!”
Sound familiar? It should. Gossip Cop busted this exact story on Wednesday, just hours after the magazine’s new issue hit newsstands. In it, the outlet wrongly alleged Kardashian and Thompson were engaged, with a TV show in the works.
But, contrary to MTO’s claim, no enga…

MTV announced on Friday morning that Bonang Matheba would be hosting the MAMAs after Trevor Noah had to cancel his appearance.

Trevor made the announcement earlier today, explaining he has been suffering from a severe respiratory and ear infection.
“Due to the infection and strain on my vocal chords the doctor has ordered me to rest. I desperately wish I could dismiss the doctor but the added risk of flying means the decision would be highly irresponsible  and may cause further damage.”

MTV said that Bonang will be taking over the helm for the awards show which takes place tomorrow at The Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg.

Bonang confirmed the news, taking to her Twitter account to retweet messages of support.

MTV has moved to assure fans that while it’s disappointed that Trevor will not make it, the show will go on.

Cardinal Dolan: Trump, Clinton traded jabs at podium — but it was different in private

Cardinal Timothy Dolan, blessed with the job of playing peacemaker while sitting between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump during a white tie fundraiser, said the two presidential candidates demonstrated a kindness toward each other rarely seen in public.
While each candidate delivered some biting comments while taking a turn behind the dais at the Al Smith Dinner, "there were some very touching moments" in private, Dolan said, describing one right after he asked both of them to pray with him.

"After the little prayer, Mr. Trump turned to Secretary Clinton and said, 'You are one tough and talented woman,'" Dolan said. "He said, 'This has been a good experience, this whole campaign, as tough as it's been.'"

Clinton then returned the compliment.

"She said to him, 'Donald, whatever happens, we need to work together afterward,'" Dolan said.

"This is the evening at its best," he said, describing the event as &…

Lady Gaga Slams Comparisons to Madonna

There could be another diva feud brewing.
Ahead of releasing her highly anticipated Joanne album on Friday, Lady Gaga responded to being to compared to Madonna time and time again. It all started when Zane Lowe from Beats 1 Radio brought up the singers' relationships with their fathers.
"There is another artist who has lived a very parallel existence," he said. "Based on this story, which I'm sure you can relate to. You know Madonna tells a very similar story -- overprotective father, 'Papa Don't Preach.' You know what I mean."

That's when Gaga launched into how much she's not like the 58-year-old music icon. "Madonna and I are very different. Just saying. We're very different. I wouldn't make that comparison at all and I don't mean to disrespect Madonna, she's a nice lady, and she's had a fantastic huge career, biggest pop star of all time," she explained. "But I play a lot of instruments. I w…

Thousands of deceased gay and bisexual men convicted decades ago under the law that didn’t approve same-sex relationship, will be pardoned over the illegal act which was later legalized in 1967.

This comes years after British computer scientist, Alan Turing, who worked during World War II to break Nazi German codes, committed suicide in 1954 after he was subjected to chemical castration as punishment for homosexual activity, but later received a posthumous royal pardon from Queen Elizabeth II.

With the new law adopted to be the ‘Turing Law’, The Justice Minister, Sam Gyimah in his statement on Thursday said it will formally pardon those convicted under the law as long as it was consensual and they were over the age of same-sex relationship, while deceased people who were convicted for the act will be automatically forgiven.

‘It is hugely important that we pardon people convicted of historical sexual offences who would be innocent of any crime today, through pardons and the e…

She was the lead singer of the main anthem for celebrations marking the adoption a new constitution in 2013.
A fellow singer said her death was cruel at a time when her son, who had sickle cell disease, "needed her most".
"The gap she has left will never be filled," Princess Jully told Kenya's Standard newspaper.
The newspaper quoted a family source as saying that Ms Abura was admitted to the intensive care unit, before she died on Thursday.

Parliament okays GH¢10.9bn for critical government expenditure next year

Parliament has approved the Finance Minister’s request for GH¢10.9 billion to finance critical government expenditure in the first quarter of 2017.
Seth Terkper wants to use the money to finance interests on loans, grants to some government agencies as well as salaries and compensation for public sector workers.
The request  is part of efforts by the Ministry to ensure smooth running of government as the upcoming elections will make it difficult for an Appropriation Act to be secured before the end of this year,

Article 180 of the Constitution states that when it appears that the Appropriation Act in respect of any financial year will not come into operation by the beginning of that financial year, the President  may, with the prior approval of Parliament, authorise the withdrawal of moneys from the Consolidated Fund for the purpose of meeting expenditure necessary to carry on the services of the Government in respect of the period expiring three months from the beginning of …

Hillary Clinton's response to 'late term abortion' at the debate that made even Democrats cringe

During the final presidential debate on Wednesday, moderator Chris Wallace asked both presidential candidates Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton what their positions were to a woman's right to abortion.
Donald Trump's response steered the conversation to late-term abortions, and Clinton was forced to defend her stance where she said unborn babies have no right to life. Adding that the mother's right surpassed the unborn baby's life even at 9 months.
A lot of people including Democrats, were horrified at her response especially after Trump had given a graphic description of late term abortion process. He said:

"I think it is terrible, if you go with what Hillary is saying, in he ninth month and rip the baby out of the womb of the mother just prior to the birth of the baby. Now you can say that's ok and you can say that's ok but that's not ok with me"
Some of the responses on Twitter: Watch the response below:

Final debate is third most-watched presidential match ever

The final faceoff between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump reached 71.6 million television viewers, meaning two of the three most-watched presidential debates in history occurred during this campaign.

The debate from Las Vegas, moderated by Fox News Channel's Chris Wallace, exceeded the 66.5 million people who watched the second debate. The first time these two candidates met on stage in September, the audience of 84 million set a viewership record, the Nielsen company said.
The 1980 debate between Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan, the only time they met that fall, was seen by 80.6 million people. That was the only previous debate to compare to this year's matchups in popularity. By contrast, both of the debates that Clinton's husband Bill had while running for re-election in 1996 against Bob Dole reached a little over 36 million people.
NBC may have been responsible for Wednesday's debate passing the one moderated by Anderson Cooper and Martha Raddatz in populari…

Samsung appears to have filed copyright claims against YouTube videos mocking its recalled Galaxy Note 7 handset.
Many gamers have showcased a modification to video game Grand Theft Auto V, in which sticky bombs were switched with exploding Samsung phones.
But some have reported that their videos have been blocked on YouTube following a copyright complaint.
Samsung has not yet responded to repeated BBC requests for comment.
Critics have warned that trying to remove gamers' videos will only draw more attention to them.
The Galaxy Note 7 was recalled and discontinued in October after reports that some handsets were catching fire.
'Really sucks'
One US gamer - known as DoctorGTA - said restrictions had been put on his YouTube account as a result of Samsung's complaint.
"It's going to take three months to get the strike removed from my channel... I got my live stream taken away," he said in a video.
"If I submit a counter-notification to say 'sue me'…

Europa: Pogba Brace Lifts United; Inter Win

Paul Pogba scored twice as Manchester United eased to a comfortable 4-1 Europa League victory against Fenerbahce at Old Trafford on Thursday.
Wayne Rooney was back in the starting lineup for the first time since Sept. 21, but Pogba was given the opportunity to give United the lead from the penalty spot.
United were awarded a second penalty just moments later and Jose Mourinho chose Anthony Martial to shoot and make it 2-0.

Pogba then bent a first-time hit into the top corner on the stroke of half-time after being teed up by Jesse Lingard — marking the first time the midfielder had scored two or more goals in a game since November 2014.
United started the second half exactly how they finished the first, scoring another as Lingard got in on the action, picking out the bottom corner of the net with a sweet strike from the edge of the area.
Robin van Persie, making his first return to Old Trafford since leaving United in 2015, did pull one back for the visitors, converting from yards …
