Michelle Obama is featured on the cover of December 2016 issue of Vogue Magazine. The 52-year-old American First Lady, looking absolutely stunning in the photos shot by Annie Leibovitz, discusses her final days in the White House, life after, daughters, fashion choices, etc.

"Everything we do is by choice. I could have spent eight years doing anything, and at some level, it would have been fine. I could have focused on decor. I could have focused on entertainment. Because any First Lady, rightly, gets to define her role. There is no legislative authority; you are not elected. And tha's a wonderful gift of freedom" she said on her role as First Lady.

Vice President-elect Pence to Take Over Trump Transition Effort

Vice President-elect Mike Pence will take over the job of leading Donald J. Trump’s transition effort, taking the helm from Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey, as Mr. Trump moves to assemble a government after his stunning upset victory, several sources close to the transition team said on Friday.
Mr. Christie had been in charge of the transition for the last several months, but the surprise nature of Mr. Trump’s victory made it critical to move more quickly to assemble a team.

The president-elect told advisers he wanted to tap Mr. Pence’s Washington experience and contacts to help move the process along, according to people familiar with the discussions. An executive committee, which will include members of Congress, will advise Mr. Pence as the process moves forward.

Mr. Christie, along with Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former mayor of New York, and Michael T. Flynn, a retired lieutenant general who has been a top campaign supporter, will serve as vice chairs of the trans…

Oprah Winfrey reflects on President-elect Donald Trump

As Oprah Winfrey reflected Thursday on this week's election, she said she was initially in disbelief after learned Donald Trump was elected president of the United States.

But the media mogul, who was vocal in her support for Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton, found some comfort in watching President Barack Obama and president-elect Trump meet with each other at the White House on Thursday.

In an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday, Winfrey said "hope is still alive" after Obama said he was encouraged by Trump's willingness to work with his team during the transition of power. The meeting between Obama and Trump lasted nearly 90 minutes.

Winfrey didn't think Trump being elected was a repudiation of Obama. She credits Trump's victory to his millions of supporters who felt like their voices had not been heard.

"I could sense, maybe I'm wrong, but I could sense from Donald Trump's body language even when he came out for the accept…

Bill Cosby Expects to Resume His Career Once Sexual Assault Case Is Over

As he fights to put an end to a criminal prosecution, Bill Cosby is optimistic that he'll again entertain fans at some point in the future.

On Thursday, Cosby's attorney Angela Agrusa argued to a Massachusetts judge why documents produced by Creative Artists Agency should be sealed in a defamation lawsuit brought by seven women. The documents in question, according to court briefs, contain information about Cosby's negotiated compensation for his performances, some of his contracts and also reflect the cancelation of business arrangements since the sexual assault firestorm.

The plaintiffs are objecting to the proposed sealing. One of the arguments being made by the women is that Cosby has no prospects in the entertainment business. Therefore, Cosby couldn't experience harm from disclosure.

Agrusa disputes that.

"Plaintiffs' argument that Mr. Cosby has no basis to protect this information because he has no potential agreements or performances on the horizo…

Increase Our Salaries Or We Strike – Lower Court Judges

Lower court judges in Ghana are threatening to embark on a strike on November 21, 2016 if government fails to increase their salaries by 10 percent.
“We therefore respectfully wish to notify your good office that members of the lower bench have taken a decision to withdraw our services from 21st November 2016 if the issue of the 10 percent is not addressed and the money paid to us,” a letter addressed to the Chief Justice and seen by citifmonline.com stated.
In the letter the lower court judges lamented that several efforts in having the issue resolved including writing a letter to the Ministry of Finance have proved futile. They added that they have no other choice but to withdraw their services on the said date.

Penis enlargement craze hits Ghana

Majority of Ghanaian men are increasingly living with the conviction that their manhood could be increased in size by buying and applying some herbs of a sort.
At the Kwame Nkrumah Circle, some traders appear to have found penis enlargement medicines a lucrative product to market to the thousands of potential buyers milling along the alleyways of the major transport hub.

Walking through the maze of stalls, a curious eye cannot miss the swell in signboards asking people to try local concoctions touted to possess the capacity to enlarge manhood.

Baba Ali and Razak have been offering quack solutions to men who feel small.

Two huge wooden carved penis sitting on a receptacle of herbs and pointing to the main Circle interchange together with several other receptacles which contain different kinds of herbs.

The striking artifact greets road users who use the Kwame Nkrumah Circle. It is likely that some of these artifacts are carved to fulfill some fantasy ideal of what a real man shou…

Brazil 3-0 Argentina: Neymar & Coutinho score as hosts win World Cup qualifier

Neymar and Philippe Coutinho each scored as Brazil beat Argentina 3-0 in their 2018 World Cup qualifier.
Coutinho drove in a shot for the opener before Neymar, who might have conceded a penalty for handball earlier, slotted in to extend the hosts' lead.
The visitors and star player Lionel Messi struggled to make an impact and Paulinho added Brazil's third.

Argentina are now sixth in the 10-team South American qualifying group, with the top four automatically qualifying.
The fifth-placed country in the group will go into a play-off with the Oceania group winners.
Argentina have 16 points from 11 games, one point adrift of fourth-placed Ecuador but eight behind leaders Brazil, who have 24 points.
"When they hit us hard, we struggled to recover," said Messi, who plays alongside Neymar at Barcelona.
"We are more than aware that we have to change a lot. Of all the bad points, the good one is that we depend on ourselves but we can't be giving away any more points.…

16 year old girl missing after her older boyfriend allegedly kills her mom and younger sister

A 21-year-old Texas man was arrested Wednesday for the murder of his much-younger girlfriend’s mother and little sister, a day after authorities put out an Amber Alert for the missing teenager. Kirsten Nicole Fritch, 16, has been missing since Tuesday, when her mother and sister were found dead in their Baytown home.
Officers conducting a wellness check Tuesday morning discovered the bodies of Cynthia Morris, 37, and her 13-year-old daughter, Breanna Pavilicek, each shot at least once, officials said.
Morris’ mother had called 911, saying she had been unable to get in touch with her daughter or her granddaughters, and that her daughter had also not shown up for work, Baytown Police said. The grandmother went by her daughter's home and when she found the front door slightly open, she called police, officials said.

Investigators determined that Morris’ car, a white, Chrysler PT Cruiser, was missing. Morris’ older daughter, Fritch, was also nowhere to be found.

An Amber Alert was…

Drake Now Has The Third-Most Top 10 Hits Among All Rappers

This week, Drake is back near the top of the charts after only a short break away, this time with a new song that has quickly become yet another hit for the hip-hop superstar in what will surely go down as an incredible year him. In only its second frame on the Hot 100, newly-released track “Fake Love” has bounded upwards, leaping from No. 24, where the song debuted, to No. 10.
By making it into the highest region on the all-genre singles tally, Drake moves up the ranking in terms of the rappers with the most top 10 hits. With 18 credits to his name, the Toronto-based hip-hop star is now in third place among all rappers with the highest number of appearances in the uppermost tier on the Hot 100.

Before the ascension of “Fake Love,” he was tied with Eminem at 17 entries, but he is now at the same level as Ludacris, though it might not be for long at the rate he’s sending songs to the top. Only two names stand in between him and the No. 1 position: Lil Wayne with 19 entries an…

We are ready for December polls - Charlotte Osei reassures

The Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson has restated the Commission's readiness for the December polls allaying the fears of Ghanaians about the possibility of the elections being postponed.
Charlotte Osei stressed at an Editors Forum in Accra Thursday that there is no cause for concern, stating emphatically that "we are ready."
The concern of many Ghanaians for some time now has been about the preparedness of the EC to supervise this year’s polls.

The fear of a botched election was heightened following the litany of court cases against the EC which was finally put to rest by the Supreme Court last Monday.
Private legal practitioner Akoto-Ampaw, concerned about the EC's preparedness penned a letter to the EC boss demanding that she answers some seven questions regarding what plans the EC has put in place to organise the elections.
With the legal hurdle overcome, Mrs. Charlotte Osei has been defending the electoral body's suit describing it as a strategi…

'Crazy' to say Facebook helped Trump win - Zuckerberg

Facing criticism that fake news on Facebook aided the rise of Donald Trump, founder Mark Zuckerberg has strongly defended his network.
Speaking on stage at Techonomy, a technology conference in California, Mr Zuckerberg said Facebook should not be held responsible.
"The idea that fake news on Facebook influenced the election in any way is a pretty crazy idea," he said.

"If you believe that then I don't think you have internalized the message Trump supporters are trying to send in this election."
Some data has shown that fake stories were being far more widely shared on the platform than follow up stories debunking the claims.
For an increasing number of people, particularly Americans, Facebook is becoming the primary source of news coverage.
The site's News Feed is specifically designed to show users content it thinks will be of most interest, creating what some describe as a "filter bubble" that reinforces a person's view without injecti…

Michelle Obama shows Melania Trump around the White House

On January 20, America will get not only a new president, but a new first lady -- 46-year-old Melania Trump.
Michelle Obama showed her around the White House residence Thursday.
Mrs. Trump was born in Slovenia and became a U.S. citizen ten years ago.

Melania Trump will make history when she becomes first lady, the only one to grow up in a communist nation, and only the second  one to be born abroad in nearly 200 years.
The former fashion model, who speaks five languages, will soon have to decide how to use her new platform, according to Anita McBride, who served Laura Bush.
“I think she’s given us a little bit of a hint of what she thinks she would like to work on and that is the issue of social media with young children,” said McBride.
Mrs. Trump gave only two major speeches during the campaign. And one, her convention address, plagiarized from Mrs. Obama’s 2008 speech.
She’ll follow the high profile first lady, who championed healthy eating and did star turns on late-night tel…
