The 2017 edition of Miss Universe Ghana was launched at the Carbon Night Club, Airport City on Thursday, June 8, 2017.
Menaye Donkor, owner of MALZ Promotions and Miss Universe Ghana 2004 was officially introduced as the new franchise owner and National Director of the beauty pageant in Ghana.
She revealed that this year’s edition will be held on September 2, 2017. “Miss Universe has opened a lot of doors for me,” said Donkor during the launch. “having this licence as the new Director for Miss Universe Ghana 2017 is such an amazing feeling… I was once a title holder representing Ghana internationally and I feel that it is my objective to assist the next title holder to make Ghana proud and represent Ghana internationally at the Miss Universe level.”
Bola Ray, Sulley Muntari, Benny Blanco, Yvonne Okoro, Victoria Michaels and Deborah Vanessa were some of the public figures who attended the launch. It was hosted by Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD).
The organization has started accepting applications from interested Ghanaian women living in Ghana and abroad. Details can be found on the official website www.missuniverseghanaorg.com. The Titleholder will represent Ghana at the 2017/2018 Miss Universe Pageant.
