Beyoncé tweets for first time in over a year — see what she had to say
Queen Bey has broken her Twitter silence on Friday — but before you get your
hopes up, no, it’s not a reaction to
hubby JAY-Z’s 4:44 album or pictures of the
twins.
Beyoncé tweeted an image and link to her
charity project "Beygood4Burundi."
Mothers in Burundi want to provide clean, safe water for their children. Let's help them, together: https://t.co/zxxNOtfq2Z #BEYGOOD4BURUNDI pic.twitter.com/olLsohhvvB— BEYONCÉ (@Beyonce) June 30, 2017
According to her website, Burundi is one of the most densely populated
countries in the heart of Africa, with "nearly half of the population lacking
access to clean, safe drinking water."
Beygood4Burundi teamed up with UNICEF
for the project, which aims to build water-supply systems for healthcare
facilities and schools and more.
It seems the singer isn't much for personal tweets. Her last tweet, which was
on April 23, 2016, was a promotional share for her Lemonade album. (Her famous pregnancy
announcement post was made via
Instagram.)
