Photos: Launch of 2017 Miss Ghana beauty pageant

The 2017 Miss Ghana beauty contest, held in honour of Ghana’s diamond jubilee, has officially been launched at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

First won by Ms Monica Amekoafia (1957), it has become one of the nation’s most prestigious pageants, creating awareness to various socio-economic problems,  and joining forces with government institutions and corporate Ghana to send relief to communities across the country.

The launch was attended by traditional leaders, showbiz personnel, as well as various other stakeholders.
