Annie~Joy writes: Life Like A Market Scene. Part 1 #BeInspired

There are times in life when people want to quit because they feel the space has been occupied.

Sometimes people feel others have already taken their places. Have you come across a situation where at school, a friend had to give up a prefectorial position just because his or her friend is also standing for it. Therefore, it will be awkward of him to contest with the friend. Also in the case, whereby someone quenches her desire to persuade a particular course at school. Simply because she thinks, finding a job at the end of the program will be difficult.

I have had an instance, where someone told me "I refused to read this program because I think at the end of it all work is difficult to come by." There's the fear of being an unemployed graduate. Also, the mind generates the thoughts that a lot of people are reading the program you want to read. Let's proceed. Have you been to the market before? How do you see the market? Have you asked yourself why the tomato sellers are arranged, and sell in a particular place? It's the same thing with the yam sellers and it follows in that sequence. "In the short run, the Market is a voting machine but in the long run It is a weighing machine." (Benjamin Graham)

Have you questioned yourself with the arrangement in the market before? That's how life is! In as much as you assume the space is filled, lots of people are already in, yet the desire is to be there. Go and add up. Do you think the tomato sellers in the market don't know they are not the only people selling tomatoes in the market? And the interesting part is, they find themselves, selling in the same geographical area. Yet they wake up with the thought and mindset that, they will get buyers each day and at the end of the day, they will make savings.

George Hodgson said: " it's a market of stocks and not a stock market. A lot of [the gains] are corporate driven, which is surprising, given that isn't good news." The one who gave up the desire to contest for a prefectorial position did himself harm than good. "Ignorance is the curse of God; knowledge is the wing wherewith we fly to heaven." (William Shakespeare)

I came to tell somebody, the opportunities look the same. You are not going to chance into a new opportunity from heaven. After all, cooking of rice has only one  process and used by all. But at the end some will be tastier than others. I want us focus on this, if you want to read nursing in school, go and read it. Stop dominating your mind with the thoughts of a lot of people reading it.

I remember, when my big sister was in the Senior secondary school, she resumed from vacation some time and she had my dad taking her to school, and he went to work from there. He came back home, just to find my sister in the house. Out of curiosity, my dad asked her reason for coming back and she said; Dad, a lot people haven't come and the school is empty. Do you know what my dad said? He said: " But what are you? Ain't you part of the people? Go back to school and add up to the few there so that when someone goes there, she wouldn't come back saying what you are saying." You, among them, make up the "a lot" you are expecting.

A critical thinker will tell something about appeal to the population which is a fallacy. When a conclusion for an argument is won a popular consent. People are saying finding work after reading journalism is difficult. Then you concluded not to even read that program. Then, what program are you going to read at all? My dear, it's everything. A lot of people are reading journalism, nursing etc and there a lot who are employed and unemployed yet it doesn't end the program. So it shouldn't stop you from taking the risk.

To be continued...
