McVitie’s In Partnership With Victoria Michaels Foundation Celebrated "Make Happy, Be Happy Day" At The AKWEIBU Basic School
McVitie’s in collaboration with the Victoria Michaels Foundation - ALDI
has visited the Akweibu Basic School in Dansoman, Accra to celebrate
the “Make Happy, Be Happy Day” which is an important date at the
calendar of McVitie’s parent company. pladis.
Every year, on the 3rd Thursday of November, 26,000 pladis employees or `pladisians` as we like to call them go out and make efforts to bring happiness to others. The day honours the belief of our founder, Sabri Ulker’s belief that no matter where in the world you live, you have the right to a happy childhood`.
In his presentation, Mr. Patrick Osei-Adusah, Territory Sales Manager, pladis Global owners of McVitie’s biscuits reiterated that, “happiness is something our company believes in It is the core to our business. This is what we are working to achieve through our McVitie’s brand in Ghana.
In partnership with the Victoria Michaels Foundation, pladis greeted 600
children ranging from kindergarten to junior high school with exercise
books, mathematical sets, pens, pencils, crayons and McVities products
and celebrated Make Happy Be Happy Day together with children and
volunteers.
Last year, the company had a similar collaboration with the Osu Children’s Home.
The Victoria Michaels Foundation offers humanitarian aids and social development programs to rural communities in Africa.
The Foundation seeks to provide hope to deprived persons by focusing on three major areas: - Education, Women/Girl Child Development and Youth Empowerment.
