Stonebwoy named Africa Entertainment Legends Award Winner during 2017 BHIM Concert performance
During his iconic performance with mentor Samini of the High Grade Family at his ongoing BHIM Concert 2017, Ghana’s Stonebwoy (Livingstone Satekla) learned of a new laurel just awarded him.
The award, Best Dancehall Act – 2017 Africa Entertainment Legends
Awards, was presented to him by none other than Samini himself, who
anointed him.
A hugely patronised event put together by ZYLOFON Media, the concert has seen the Mightylele
man celebrate his big day with colleague musicians as Joyce Blessing,
Rocky Dawuni, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Obimini, King Promise, Medikal, Edem,
and a host of others.
Winner of several awards including VGMA Artist of the Year and BET
Best International Act: Africa (both in 2015), Stonebwoy is CEO of the
BMG imprint (home to budding singer Kevin Boy), and is franchise act for
ZYLOFON Music. He also featured on Morgan Heritage’s “Avrakadabra” (which has been nominated for ‘Best Reggae Album’ in the 2018 Grammy Awards, alongside ‘Chronology’ by Chronixx, ‘Lost In Paradise’ by Common Kings, ‘Wash House Ting’ by J Boog, and ‘Stony Hill’ by Damian Marley).
His latest album, Epistles of Mama follows other well-received projects as Grade 1, Necessary Evil, and Livingstone.
