Obama White House photographer Pete Souza is trolling Trump on Instagram

Pete Souza spends his post-White House days sharing photos of his eight years as former President Barack Obama's official photographer.
But the choice of the photos he shares on Instagram — and when he shares them — often appear as digs to the new administration. Some are more subtle than others.

Souza, who also was official White House photographer for President Ronald Reagan, has alluded to President Trump's redecorating plans, his immigration ban and his pick for U.S. Supreme Court.

Days after Trump took office —amid rumors of a White House revamp — Souza posted this photo with the caption, "I like these drapes better than the new ones. Don't you think?"

iPhone 8 may not have any buttons at all

iPhone 8 is being touted as a revolutionary device for Apple and iPhone enthusiasts alike. The phone is expected to be the first one in Apple’s lineup to ditch the home button, which has been present on every one of its devices since the first iPhone.
But, according to a new report, the device might not only ditch the home button, it could also do away with all other physical buttons, including those for volume, power and the mute switch. The company is expected to replace the buttons with touch-sensitive ones placed inside the metal frame.
In iPhone 8, the home button is likely to be a display-embedded one. Apple is expected to employ its pressure-sensing 3D Touch technology inside the button, so users would be navigating through the phone the way they did on previous iterations, but by applying pressure on the display and body rather than physically pressing a button.
Fast Company reported Wednesday that the device will look like a single slab of glass since it would have …

Kenya court quashes government order to close Dadaab

Kenya's high court has said it would be unconstitutional to close the world's biggest refugee camp, which houses more than 200,000 people who have fled war in neighbouring Somalia.
In a ruling on Thursday, the court said a government order to shut the camp, which would have sent the refugees back to Somalia from the sprawling Dadaab camp, was illegal.
Judge John Mativo, who issued the ruling, said Kenya's internal security minister had abused his power by ordering the closure of the camp, which borders Somalia, in May last year.
According to Mativo, the order had been given without consulting the people who would be directly affected by its implications, which was a violation of Kenya's constitutional right to fair legal proceedings.
"Hence, the said decision is null and void," he ruled.
Mativo also said that the order was discriminatory in nature and went against international treaties that protect refugees from being forced to return to persecution, …

U.S President Donald Trump has decided to further heighten tensions with China, the world's second largest economy after snubbing  China's leader Xi Jinping by not giving him an official phone call weeks after his inauguration, sending him a letter instead, despite calling over 18 World leaders.
Donald Trump has spoken to Theresa May, Francois Hollande, Vladmir Putin, Angela Merkel and several world leaders since his presidential inauguration, and has repeatedly signaled he'll be very hard with China, whom he has accused of currency manipulation, unfair trade deals, militarizing the South China Sea and not doing enough to help the US deal with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. Trump’s letter to Xi (which comes two weeks late) follows a “congratulatory note” sent by the Chinese president to Trump on his 20th January inauguration.

Annie Joy writes: The Activities Performed For A Child Is Temporary. Be Inspired!!

When the child is young he or she thinks he or she is a royal due to the activities performed for him or her. Activities like changing of cloths, giving them food, bathing them etc. All these are not permanent and it's something done for you because you are not grown to be able do so.  You get to a certain stage and all will be withdrawn. Yet we still have people who haven't gotten away of this thought 'when the child is young he or she thinks he or she is a royal'. The puzzle of life is dynamic and not static. That's when you get to high school and still find one who doesn't know how to wash her own cloths. The moment for your grace period is over therefore start to reason like an adult who is ready to battle in order to be acceptable in this world. Day in, Day out; we hear and get complains like my uncle in the states promised to pick me up but he failed me. My parents are rich so they can cater for me as long as I am alive.  Hey have you forgotten…

Lifestyle: HR TODAY: Tips for dealing with envy, jealousy at workplace

Jealousy at the workplace can be one of the most serious and negative workplace attitudes.
It creeps so fast and quick that it affects the core and very foundation of every organization and workplace for that matter.
There is relatively little that can be done about jealousy because most of them are attitudinal and an effect of our upbringing which has become part of us. It is not built over night, it develops with time. We can be in self-denial all time but our actions and inactions will always give us up. Our behaviour and utterances will really portray who we indeed are. Again societal pressure and influence can create a jealous society. Organizations can however use these tips below to minimize jealousy at the workplace.
1. Never tell your co-workers that they are “just jealous of you”
It’s true your co-worker is jealous, but saying it out loud to them ultimately undermines your case for being a likable person around the office and it won’t help matters for you.
2. Try to do s…

President Teodoro Obiang Nguema aims to use the country's oil wealth to make Djibloho a "city of the future".
Security, and safety from any attempt to overthrow the government was also a factor in the move. It is understood that MPs will stay there initially for three months.
Chairing his first meeting in Djibloho, also known as Oyala, Prime Minister Francisco Pascual Obama Asue warned MPs not to treat the move as a holiday.
"Your relocation here does not mean that you are engaging in tourism," said Mr Obama Asue.
Djibloho is surrounded by several national parks and is not far from the eastern border with Gabon.
The city, which has been several years in the making, includes a five-star hotel, a championship golf course, a conference centre and a university.
When the project was first announced, President Obiang said sec…

It's official: Drake out-sold everyone in 2016

He only had One Dance, but it was a pretty popular one: Drake has been named the best-selling artist of 2016.
The Canadian star achieved millions of sales and billions of streams with his fourth album, Views, which topped the charts around the world.
He managed to beat Adele and Coldplay, who also achieved big sales last year.
The news comes from music industry bigwigs the IFPI, who've given Drake their Global Recording Artist of the Year Award.
"Drake's phenomenal success reflects how deeply his unique sound appeals to an enormous global audience," said chief executive Frances Moore.
In the UK, Drake's single One Dance topped the charts for 15 weeks, nearly beating the all-time record, held by Bryan Adams' (Everything I Do) I Do It For You.
However, Views only ended the year as the country's eighth best-selling album, behind Little Mix's Glory Days and Adele's 25 - which took the top spot for the second year in a row.

US says it killed 11 al-Qaeda operatives in Syria air strikes

US forces killed 11 members of al-Qaeda in two air strikes near Idlib in Syria, this month, including a former ally of Osama Bin Laden, the Pentagon said.
Captain Jeff Davis, a spokesman, said 10 operatives were killed in a single strike on 3 February.
A second strike on 4 February killed Abu Hani al-Masri, who had close ties to the late al-Qaeda leader, he said.
Al-Masri is said to have set up and run al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan during the 1980s and 1990s.
He also had close ties to Ayman al-Zawahiri, who became the leader of al-Qaeda when Bin Laden was killed by US forces in 2011.
"These strikes disrupt al-Qaeda's ability to plot and direct external attacks targeting the US and our interests worldwide," said Capt Davis.
Al-Qaeda's influence in Syria operates largely through an affiliate jihadist group, Jabhat Fateh al-Sham, formerly known as al-Nusra Front.
The group announced in mid-2016 that it was no longer affiliated with any external group, prompting …
