Kim Jong-nam killing: Suspect 'was paid $90 for baby oil prank'

An Indonesian woman arrested for the murder of the half-brother of North Korea's leader has said she was given 400 Malaysian ringgits ($90) to carry out a prank.
Indonesian embassy officials met Siti Aisyah, 25, on Saturday in the Malaysian capital.
She said she was given the cash to smear Kim Jong-nam's face with "baby oil" as part of a reality show joke.
Tests show Mr Kim was killed with the highly toxic nerve agent VX.
It is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations.
Mr Kim died last week after two women accosted him briefly in a check-in hall at a Kuala Lumpur airport.
There is widespread suspicion that North Korea was behind the attack, which it strongly denies.
A Vietnamese woman and a North Korean man have also been arrested in connection with the killing. At least seven other suspects are wanted by police.
After a 30-minute meeting with Siti Aisyah on Saturday, Indonesian Deputy Ambassador Andreano Erwin said: "She only said in gener…

President Trump Bars CNN, New York Times, Others from White House Press Briefing

Several major U.S. media outlets including New York Times, CNN, Politico and Los Angeles Times were barred from attending Friday’s White House briefing, indicating an escalation in the relationship between the media and the young Trump administration.
Since he was sworn in on January 20, Trump has been attacking the U.S. media, deriding them as purveyors of ‘fake news’, ‘dishonest media’ and so on and had disputed several accounts published by the media.
Not trusting how they would treat his story, Trump last week addressed a rally in Florida.
On Friday, Trump in a series of posts om Twitter blasted the FBI for not tracing the source of a leak of his administration’s links to Russia. The story was published by CNN on Thursday.
According to a report by Daily Beast, journalists have expressed outrage at today’s unusual move by the White House.
The Associated Press and Time magazine reportedly boycotted the briefing as a result of the ban of NYT and CNN.

White House spokesman, Sean Spi…

Marriage Is Hard Work! Worth Reading!!

I used to interpret the saying "Marriage is not for small boys" to mean small boys in terms of age, until I visited a female mentor that has been in marriage for 47 years.
I asked, so what is the secret of your over 47 years in marriage? Beaming, she retorted;  My son, the expectations you bring into marriage will either spell its doom or success. I married my husband without expectations of enjoying his money or buying cars for me, but with time, my patience, hard work and God -fearing attitude yielded results of getting cars, houses, taking care of our children and all that. You see, if a married lady keeps on nagging in the house, she pushes the spirit of her husband from the home. If you make the man unhappy, you make the house ungovernable.  So I married without high expectations from my husband but simply to make him happy always. Yes, for the past 47 years, I would be the first to get up from bed and the last to go back to bed. I bath the kids, do devotio…

Gospel artiste Diana Hamilton says she spent almost GH¢8,500 to make her voice silky

Renowned Ghanaian Gospel artiste Diana Hamilton has revealed that she spent almost GH¢8,500 to get her voice trained by a white professional in the UK.

According to her, it was a necessity for her to get her voice trained in order to get the best out of her when singing.

She explained that the idea was suggested by her UK manager Uncle Charles and Keyboardist Kwame Yeboah to go through vocal coaching because she was sounding nasal during her performances.

Speaking with Ike Da-Unpredictable on Abusua FM’s Drive, she explained that the white trainer also remarked that she had a beautiful voice but sounded nasal.

Diana indicated that she was rejected by Kwame Yeboah when she approached to work with him on one of her albums because of her nasal voice.

‘My manager recommended a white trainer to me, the trainer quoted £70.00 per hour but later charged £65.00 provided I was willing to go through the ten lessons. So I booked ten lessons and later booked another set of twelve, so in all …

Mexico warns US it will refuse non-Mexican deportees

Mexico will not accept deportees from the United States unless they are Mexican nationals, Interior Secretary Miguel Angel Osorio Chong declared on Friday, a day after meetings with top US officials.
"As for other migrants, we cannot accept them," Osorio Chong said in an interview on Mexican radio station Radio Formula.
"We were very clear about this: We are not going to accept them. They (the US) cannot leave them here on our territory because we will reject them," the Mexican official said.
"There is no possibility that they'll be received by Mexico."
On Thursday, Osorio Chong and Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray met with US Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Mexico City as the American officials sought to mend frayed ties.
The meeting came amid heightened tension over US President Donald Trump's plans to impose stricter immigration laws, including deportations of undocumented residents.

Brazil: Footballer Pele's son Edinho in jail over drug trafficking charges

The son of Brazil's footballing legend, Pele, has handed himself in to complete his sentence for money laundering and drug trafficking.
Edinho, a former professional goalkeeper, was first arrested in 2005 over the charges, but appealed.
He remained free during the appeal but was sentenced in 2014 to 33 years.
The court has reduced that sentence to 12 years and 10 months, but ruled that he must be imprisoned while he appeals. Edinho denies all the charges.
As he arrived at a police station in the city of Santos, he said there was not a shred of evidence against him.
"I'm frustrated because I'm being massacred by the legal system," he said.
"I never had any involvement with money laundering."
Four other people have also been sentenced in the same case, including a man accused of controlling much of the drug trafficking in the Greater Santos region - Ronaldo Duarte Barsotti, known as Naldinho.
