Conor McGregor promises to finish Floyd Mayweather, hints at September showdown

The Conor McGregor show arrived at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday and his presence was felt in a massive way.
The current UFC lightweight champion was there to support fellow Irishman Michael Conlan, who made his professional debut, but McGregor didn't shy away from the spotlight when he spoke briefly to the press assembled ringside.

Photos: Trees crash 19 to death at Kintampo Waterfalls

Report reaching donkorsblog.com from kintampo waters falls in the Brong Ahafo region is that, a heavy rainfall was recorded around 3:30pm today. 
Eyewitnesses say some of the heavy trees around the place fell into the water and as at now 17 people have been confirm dead.  
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service and the Police including other disaster management officials have been to the disaster scene in a rescue effort.
It is believe that they are students from Wenchi senior high school. An eyewitnesses told donkorsblog.com, efforts are been made to take the logs from the water and to him, the death number could be increased. We pray for the rest to stay alive. 
The Kintampo Divisional Police Commander, Chief Superintendent, Desmond Owusu Boampong has confirmed the incident and the death toll.
Several others have been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Soccer player Mohammed Anas thanks wife and girlfriend in interview

Soccer player Mohammed Anas just gave his wife a big reason to be suspicious of him. Anas was interviewed after scoring two goals in his Free State Stars’ 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town on Friday. The Stars striker proceeded to thank his wife and his girlfriend in his interview.

Did Anas just mean his wife when he said “girlfriend,” or was that a complete screwup and the most embarrassing way ever to reveal an affair? Who knows, but Anas will definitely be sleeping on the couch after that one.

Ghana International School Celebrates 10th Anniversary Musical With "Prince of Egypt"

Students of the Ghana International School, will on Friday and Saturday turn the National Theatre into biblical Egypt and retell the story of the "Prince of Egypt" in the most captivating way.

Taken from the book of Exodus in the Bible, the "Prince of Egypt," the tale of two brothers beginning together and ending apart, was first told in 1998 by America's DreamWorks Pictures in an epic animated musical drama.
But on Friday 18th March and Saturday 19th March, 6:30pm each night, the Prince of Egypt will be given a human touch of class by the students of GIS as part of the school's 10th Anniversary Musical.

The musical will feature five original songs written and composed by students, directed by teachers from the music and literature department and scripted by the Principal Dr. Mary Ashun, a statement from the school indicated.

Kendall Jenner fires security guard

Kendall Jenner has sacked her security guard after she was robbed last week.
The 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star had up to $200,000 worth of items stolen, including a Rolex and a Cartier watch, during a party at her Los Angeles home and the star is said to be upset that her security guard did not prevent the theft.
TMZ reports that although it is believed the robbery was an inside job, carried out by a partygoer at the bash, Kendall and her family are upset that "when Kendall left for an hour around midnight, someone who was not an invited guest got inside the house."
Last year, Kendall hired extra security to patrol her Hollywood Hills home. 
The supermodel enlisted additional bodyguards and security staff to sit outside her house after her alleged stalker Shavaughn McKenzie was found waiting outside the property, situated above Hollywood's Sunset Strip, in August.

Don't forget us, says Chibok schoolgirl as third year of captivity approaches

A Chibok schoolgirl who escaped from Boko Haram militants in Nigeria has called on the international community not to forget those still in captivity.
Next month will mark the third anniversary of the abduction of more than 270 girls.
The militants are still holding about 195 of the young women.
The pupil, speaking under a pseudonym, told an education conference in Dubai: "These girls are human beings, not something that we can forget about."
The abduction of the schoolgirls in north-eastern Nigeria in April 2014 by the Islamist militant group caused a global outcry - and prompted campaigns about girls' right to education.
But almost three years later most of the abducted Chibok schoolgirls are still being held by kidnappers.
One of the girls who had been seized, using the pseudonym "Sa'a" to protect her identity, said the "world has to do something" to rescue her school friends.

One dead, 25 injured in gory Winneba accident

One person has been confirmed dead in a gory accident Sunday morning at Okyereko junction on the Winneba-Kasoa highway in the Central region.
Two others are also in critical condition and have been rushed to the Winneba Specialists and Trauma Centre for treatment.
The two are reported to be in coma due to the severe injuries they suffered.
The accident was occurred between two Sprinter Benz Buses with registration number AS 7393-16 and GG 2006-16 after an attempt by a VW Golf car to overtake on a narrow stretch forced one of the sprinter buses to veer off hitting the side of the other sprinter bus.
In all 25 passengers were on board the sprinter bus as those who suffered minor injuries have been treated and discharged from the hospital.
Winneba MTTD Commander ASP Charles Obiri confirming the accident to Starr News Central regional correspondent Kwaku Baah-Acheamfour said the Police are still conducting its investigations.

North Korea's Kim Jong Un says engine test is 'new birth' of rocket industry

North Korea has conducted a test of a new high-thrust engine at its Tongchang-ri rocket launch station and leader Kim Jong Un said the successful test was "a new birth" of its rocket industry, the reclusive North's official media said on Sunday.
The engine would help North Korea achieve world-class satellite launch capability, KCNA said, indicating the test was of a new type of rocket engine for long-range missiles.
The United States and China pledged to work together to get the North to take "a different course" and move away from its weapons programs after U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met his Chinese counterpart on Saturday.
North Korea has conducted five nuclear tests and a series of missile launches, in defiance of U.N. sanctions, and is believed by experts and government officials to be working to develop nuclear-warhead missiles that could reach the United States.

Drake Drops New Album 'More Life'

After severalstarts, Drake's long-awaited More Life album is here. Like his previously released Views, the set made its worldwide debut by way of the rapper's OVO Sound radio show on Beats 1. 
The only difference: the project wasn't released as an Apple Music exclusive, and will hit all streaming services on Saturday.
Acoording to Hollywood Reporter, the project comes after a string of releases and cameos from the 6 God the past few months. He recently appeared on the Young Money reunion celebration "No Frauds," hosted by Nicki Minaj and also featuring Lil Wayne, and he also made guest turns on Future's "Used to This" and Gucci Mane's "Both."

Chaos at University of Cape Cost: Three students fatally stabbed

Three people were fatally stabbed on Friday following clashes between students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the University of Ghana, Legon, at the Cape Coast University.
The bloody chaos erupted after students of the Commonwealth Hall of Legon and Unity Hall of KNUST, who had been invited for a programme at UCC,  had a misunderstanding over an issue. It is unclear what caused the dispute between the two student groups.
According to Starr News sources, several properties belonging to the host hall of UCC, Ogua hall, have been destroyed as a result of the melee.
Some students of some Halls of the UCC are reported to have joined in the fight leading to the several stabbing.
The Police were called in to restore calm by worried students after several hours of the bloody crusade.

Rock 'n' Roll Pioneer, Chuck Berry dies at 90

Rock 'n' roll founder,  Chuck Berry who defined its joy and rebellion in "Johnny B. Goode" and other classics, has died in St. Charles County, Missouri at the age of 90. St. Charles county police say they responded to a medical emergency on Saturday afternoon and found Berry unresponsive. 
He could not be revived and was pronounced dead on the spot at 1:26pm on Saturday. Berry hit the Top 10 in 1955 with "Maybellene" and went on to influence generations of musicians.
Berry, whose full name was Charles Edward Anderson Berry Sr. is known for songs like Roll Over Beethoven and Sweet Little Sixteen.
