Site of Jesus' tomb re-opens following painstaking restoration in Jerusalem

It's one of Christianity's holiest sites -- the burial chamber where Jesus Christ is believed to have been entombed. Now following nine months of meticulous restoration, it's reopened to the devoted.
Situated in the heart of the Christian quarter in Jerusalem's Old City, much-needed repairs were conducted to the Edicule, a small limestone and marble structure built on the site identified in the 4th century as Jesus' final resting place following his crucifixion. The ambitious project was overseen by the World Monuments Fund (WMF) while Antonia Moropoulou of the National Technical University of Athens led an interdisciplinary team of specialists and masons who carried out the work. It was unveiled to the public on Wednesday. The conservators, who worked mostly at night so as not to impact the Christian faithful from praying at the holy site, fixed underlying masonry before returning displaced stone blocks to their original positions, securing them with tita…

Annie~Joy writes: Did She Marry Her Enemy? Be Inspired!

One cloudy evening, I was sitting in front of my father's house and I saw one of our neighbor sitting in front of the house helpless. I mastered the courage and approached her if she can share what could be the problem. She began by saying: " Anna, am I not a nice woman. I didn't have the privilege to enjoy education because of financial issues. I just have to forget about school and find something doing with my life with the thoughts that, I will get a man who can take good care of me.

Hmmm, I first met a man who promised marriage and in the cause of it, I got pregnant and gave birth to my first born. The gentleman left without fulfilling his promise. Life was still going on and I knew as a beautiful woman, I will definitely get another man which came to pass. I met this man who married me and the same incident has happened. I had a child with him before the marriage. He doesn't allow me in his house but he has rather rented an apartment for me and my chi…

The attacker who murdered three people and injured many others before he was shot dead by the police in yesterday's London attack has been identified as Khalid Masood. It has been confirmed that he was born in the UK and was in his mid 50s. It is strongly believed that he is inspired by Islamic extremism.  Yesterday, Mr Masood drove along Westminster Bridge yesterday afternoon killing a mother-of-two and a man in his mid-50s and injuring another 29 people, some of them critically. He then got out of the vehicle and ran round the corner to get into the grounds of the Palace of Westminster where he stabbed a police officer before he was gunned down.
Describing the terrorist, Prime Minister of United Kingdom, Theresa May told MPs that he was a ‘peripheral’ figure, adding that he was not part of their current intelligence picture.

Hawaii Republican resigns from party after criticizing Trump

According to Associated Press, a Hawaii lawmaker who says she was pressured to give up her leadership post at the statehouse after criticizing President Donald Trump resigned Wednesday from the Republican Party.
Rep. Beth Fukumoto said members of the GOP refused to oppose racism and sexism including a suggestion by Trump to create a Muslim registry during his campaign.

"As a Japanese-American whose grandparents had to destroy all of their Japanese artifacts and items and bury them in the backyard to avoid getting taken and interned, how could I not have said anything?" Fukumoto asked. "And how could my party have not said anything?"
Fukumoto was voted out of her post as House Minority Leader in February after calling Trump a bully in a speech at the Women's March in Honolulu, saying many of his remarks were racist and sexist and had no place in the Republican Party.
Since then, she sought feedback from her constituents about leaving the GOP and said thr…

A religious TV channel in Senegal has blamed an unidentified saboteur for the "satanic trick" that led to a hardcore porn film being shown on air.
Touba TV's viewers were shocked when explicit sexual content appeared on their screens between 13:10 and 13:30 local time on Monday.
The privately run TV station had initially said that a troublesome "network bug" had led to the blunder.
Touba TV is run by Senegal's influential Mouride Islamic sect.
The channel has laid a complaint with the authorities to identify the culprits.
The pornographic material ran during a popular programme, Tarixu Juma for about 15 minutes.
"As a religious channel, the management of Touba TV and all our audience members are outraged and unreservedly condemn this criminal act which seems to be sabotage and a satanic trick designed to undermine a channel which is known to stand for Islamic values and teachings," Touba TV management said in a statement.

Four foot python is an employee at German hair salon where it gives neck massages

50 year old German hairdresser, Falk Döhler brings his four-foot long pet Monty into his Haar Mode Team salon in Dresden, Germany, for two days a week to perform specialist massages. For customers willing to brave the therapeutic routine, the reptile wraps her body around the neck while tensing and relaxes its muscles to massage the client
The service costs 35 euros for 30 minutes. It may appear terrifying to some but the salon owner said the unusual treatment is proving popular. Mr Döhler said he got the idea to offer the massage after being inspired by seeing a similar technique offered while he was on holiday in South Africa.
Clients who have tried out service include 17yr old  Flora Magdalena who said she'll be back and a TV presenter who was left satisfied with the results.
