Governor Ambode, who spoke when he played host to officials of AMAA led by its President, Mrs. Peace Anyiam-Osigwe at the Lagos House, Ikeja, expressed optimism that the plan to upgrade the Theatre to world class standard would serve as a viable venue for the AMAA event when completed.

We are in a process and before the month ends, we should have something to start doing within the first week of April to getting the whole place ready,” he said.

John Dumelo Caught With State Car

National Security operatives have caught popular movie actor John Dumelo with a vehicle belonging to the state and retrieved it from a spraying shop.
Dumelo was allegedly attempting to conceal the identity of the black V8 Toyota Land Cruiser with registration GE 8118 –16 when the operatives pounced on it at a garage at Abelemkpe in Accra where it had purportedly been sent for re-spraying.
The vehicle, with chassis number JTMHVOJ2F4159829, 2015 model with full option, has been parked at the Office of the President Annex for almost one month.
When the operatives invited him to the garage, he reportedly panicked and shook like rain-beaten chick, before surrendering the expensive vehicle without any protest.
The operatives, upon a tip-off, swooped on the garage a couple of weeks ago and got hold of the auto mechanic who told them that the vehicle belonged to John Dumelo.
He was then telephoned to come to the garage and upon arrival, he’s reported to have first said that he bought t…

Arsenal is better than Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Barca & Real Madrid - Arsene Wenger says

Arsenal's perturbed coach, Arsene Wenger has made a ridiculous claim that'll surely get him a lot of flak.
Despite the possibility of his club not qualifying for the Champions league, and going another season without silverware, he's said that Arsenal is the best club in the world and football isn't all about wining trophies.

The last time Arsenal won a major trophy was in 2004 and fan pressure for him to leave the club this summer reached an all time high after his 10-2 humiliation at the hands of Bayern Munich in this season's champions League.
The veteran manager who has been at Arsenal since 1996 has leaped to the defence of his record, stressing that he has helped build ‘the best club in the world’. ‘For me Arsenal is the best club in the world and what we have built is absolutely remarkable, not only on the results front but on the values that this club, what we have built,’ Wenger told beIN Sports.''Of course a football club is about winning, i…

Virgin Mary statue appearing to cry blood stuns worshipers in Argentina

A statue of the Virgin Mary with red liquid flowing from its eye, down its face has shocked devotees in Argentina. The statue was placed in its usual place at a family chapel in Los Naranjos, Argentina, when the unusual phenomenon was noticed to the amazement of onlookers.

Pictures show the Virgin Inmaculada Concepcion de Maria figure with a red stain on the left side of its face, flowing down to its robes. It has now been transferred to the local Catholic Church where more devotees can have access to it. Church officials are waiting for the statue to" weep" again so they can report it as a miracle, priest Ricardo Quiroga explained. “A lot of people come here to pray and light several candles devoted to the Virgin. The first impression is that it is blood on the face of the Virgin, from the left eye. Also, the dress she is wearing is also totally stained this same red colour,” the priest said"If she cries again, we need to do something at a high level in the c…

Annie~Joy writes: Be On Your Guide. Be Inspired!!

There are times in life when it seems all things have gone so black to the extent that even the word black is not the rightful word to represent what you are going through. You are in a season or days where things seem to be wasted for you which makes you feel like there is no way Light can show up to clear the blackout out of your way.
Allow me talk, that guardian, that step mother has maltreated you so long and always make it looks like you are the bad nut. You feel like running and going somewhere far from where you are because the situation has become unbearable for you but let me tell you, that when a rubber is filled with water to the extent that it cannot contain water again, what happens is, it burst.

If you have never been through nothing, then light cannot show up. You have to experience blackout before light comes in. If you don't get worried of losing your mind in that circumstance, then you cannot gain your mind. You have been depressed for long and you f…

Egypt's Hosni Mubarak freed after six years in detention

Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has been freed from detention, six years after being overthrown.
Mr Mubarak left a military hospital in southern Cairo and went to his home in the northern suburb of Heliopolis, his lawyer said.
He was ordered freed earlier this month after Egypt's top appeals court cleared him over the deaths of protesters in the 2011 uprising.
Mr Mubarak, 88, became president in 1981 after Anwar Sadat's assassination.
He had been at Maadi Military Hospital since 2013, when he was transferred there on bail from Torah prison.
Mr Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted in 2012 of complicity in the killing of protesters who died at the hands of security forces in February, 2011.
Another trial was held and a judge decreed in May 2015 that Mr Mubarak could be released from detention.
However, the government of President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi was reportedly reluctant to free him because of the public backlash that might accompany such a…

Emma Watson Takes Top Earnings Crown

She turned down a part in the Oscar-winning La La Land to prepare for her role in Beauty and the Beast, and her business sense was questioned by some industry watchers when it emerged she had taken a relatively paltry $2 million fee to play the lead role of Belle in that film.
But now critics of Emma Watson’s fiscal nous are eating their words after it emerged that Watson is on track to become Hollywood’s biggest earning female star of 2017, thanks to the runaway success of Disney’s live-action remake of the fairytale classic, and her decision to opt for profit share rather than an upfront check.
The coronation will be a welcome return to the top spot for Watson, who was the highest paid female actress back in 2010.
Watson—who already has an estimated net worth of $70 million, over half of which can be accredited to her part in the long-running Harry Potter franchise—is set to dislodge Jennifer Lawrence from the top of the list, a position J-Law has held since 2015, having ba…

More than 200 migrants feared drowned in Mediterranean

More than 200 migrants are feared dead in a boat sinking off the coast of Libya, a Spanish aid organisation says.
Proactiva Open Arms said it had recovered five bodies floating near two capsized boats, which can each hold more than 100 people.
The group's Laura Lanuza said the five they pulled from the Mediterranean were young men who appeared to have drowned.
A spokesman for Italy's coast guard, which co-ordinates rescues, confirmed the five deaths.
But he told the BBC that they could not confirm the estimates of deaths given by Proactiva, and said they had received no distress calls from any boats.
Ms Lanuza said at least 240 migrants may have died as the boats were often overloaded by smugglers.
"We brought on board five corpses recovered from the sea, but no lives," the group wrote on its Facebook page.
"It is a harsh reality check of the suffering here that is invisible in Europe."
Numbers of migrants trying to reach Europe from Libya via Italy have rise…

Prophet who slept with a cult member, says he's being raped by a snake everyday

A 40-year-old Zimbabwean self-styled prophet has revealed that he now physically engages in anal sex with a snake since bedding Sheila Taibu, a member of a popular cult in Zimbabwe. Speaking about the tormenting trauma, Pachawa Kwanamba said since the encounter, a mysterious snake is in the habit of penetrating him from his behind every day. 'Sometimes I feel it is much better for me to die than to continue to live the life that I am living.'Mysterious things have been happening to me ever since the day I had sex with Sheila and I now regret the decision I made of indulging in sex with her. Whenever I explain my situation to people some think I am insane and others would cut communication ties with me.'I helplessly find myself being a victim of anal sex every day; the snake only comes whilst I am about to sleep and enters me from behind."This does not happen spiritually but the snake comes in its physical state and I even have scars on my behind to prove what I…

US healthcare bill: Trump issues Friday vote ultimatum

US President Donald Trump has demanded a make-or-break Friday vote on a new health care bill in the House of Representatives.
The American Healthcare Act is intended to replace parts of President Barack Obama's signature law.
But Thursday's vote was delayed because of opposition from some Republicans - despite Mr Trump's repeated attempts to persuade them to back the legislature.
He now says he wants to move on and vote - whatever the result on Friday.
White House budget director Mick Mulvaney said this was exactly the message delivered to Republican lawmakers at a meeting behind closed doors on Thursday.
"For seven-and-a-half years we have been promising the American people that we will repeal and replace this broken law because it's collapsing and it's failing families, and tomorrow we're proceeding," House Speaker Paul Ryan said.
Meanwhile, Chris Collins, New York's Republican representative, said: "The president has said he wants a vo…

ISIS claims responsibility for London attack

An ISIS-affiliated news agency, Amaq, reports that a "soldier of Islamic State" carried out the Westminster, London attack. The group posted a tweet reading "Security source to Amaq agency: The perpetrator of the attack yesterday in front of the British Parliament in London is a soldier of the Islamic State and carried out the operation in response to appeals targeting nationals of coalition countries."
Terrorism Analyst Paul Cruickshank however said the language used by ISIS asserting the attack was one of its soldiers doesn't necessarily mean the group is claiming it had connections to the attacker.

He says such language has been used in the past by the group for attacks it believes it helped inspire.
