The 67-year-old, a noted Republican, voted for Trump in the 2016 U.S. presidential election but says she was “really upset” that the Trump administration revoked a federal policy instituted by President Barack Obama that allowed transgender students the choice of using either male or female school bathrooms. Ghana Must Go! Top 5 Places Ghanaians Love To Visit In Nigeria

‘Ghana must go’ is a very popular phrase in both Ghana and Nigeria. In Ghana, many people refer to the colorful checked jute bags as ‘’Ghana Must Go’’.  This may be attributed to the use of these type of bags in 1983 by the large number of illegal Ghanaian immigrants in Nigeria who were returned to their home country.

Today, we use this same term in the opposite direction. It is used to encourage Ghanaians to visit and tour their closest friends on the African continent. For many years, it is believed that Ghana and Nigeria have a special relationship and the development of one directly affects the other.

On many occasions, i have encountered Ghanaians who travel to the beautiful country of Nigeria for business or other reasons and have no clue where to go for a great experience. After interactions with some local folk as well as some Ghanaians resident in Nigeria, Jumia Travel, Africa’s leading online travel agency brings you 5 of the top places Ghanaians love to visit in…

Al-Nahyan trial: UAE princesses accused of servant abuses

Eight Arab princesses are on trial in Brussels for trafficking and abusing servants during a stay there.
Sheikha Hamda al-Nahyan and her seven daughters hired a floor of rooms at a luxury hotel over eight months in 2008.
They brought with them from the United Arab Emirates a retinue of more than 20 servants whom they are accused of holding in conditions close to slavery.
The plaintiffs say they were prevented from leaving the hotel and forced to eat the princesses' leftovers.
The princesses are being tried in absentia along with an Indian butler.
If found guilty, they could face hundreds of thousands of euros in damages and even a prison sentence - but rights activists say it is highly unlikely that the UAE would extradite them to serve time behind bars.
Nonetheless, it would be "hugely significant" if one of the wealthiest families in the world was publicly linked with trafficking and slavery, says Nicholas McGeehan, an expert on migrant workers in the Gulf for Huma…

Despite government’s moratorium on galamsey operations across the country, the lady continuously carried on her illegal gold mining activities with impunity because she was said to be holding secret sexual video tapes of some power brokers in the security services and some politicians which she was u…

She's now living at a boarding facility, but due to limited space, she only has until May 20 to find another home. After that, she may be euthanized, The Dodo reported.
The rescue organization says the best home for Lana, now 2, would be a farm where she can spend most of her time outside.
"The best family for her would be a mature couple or person that has the time, patience, determination and commitment to help her become more confident," the rescu…
