Doctor repeatedly punches nurse girlfriend in front of packed operating theatre moments after performing surgery on patient (video)

CCTV footage captured a shocking assault carried out on a nurse by her surgeon boyfriend right inside the operating theatre where they had just finished performing an operation.

The doctor can be seen in the disturbing footage still wearing scrubs as he repeatedly hit the nurse who was also still in her scrubs. 

Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly splits with another model girlfriend

After a year of dating, Leonardo DiCaprio and Sports Illustrated model Nina Agdal have broken up. E! News reported the split, adding that the two remain friendly.
"They remain in touch and remain friends," a source told the outlet. "It's an amicable split, and they're moving forward."

Electric dance group Cheat Codes released their new music video featuring Demi Lovato-who cowrote the song- on Tuesday for their latest single "No Promises."
According to People.com, the video has the EDM group and the "Confident" singer rocking out in a visuals frenzy with lights, pink skies, outer space views and futuristic fashion. Although it’s a catchy, happy dance track, many are discontent with a certain style choice in the video: Demi’s hair.

FDA arrests herbalist who claims to have HIV cure

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has caused the arrest of the Chief Executive Officer of Amponsah Herbal Clinic, Mr Alex Kwadwo Amponsah, for advertising drugs he claims to be a cure for various sexually transmitted infections (STIs), including HIV without authorisation.

His death was first announced by his wife,  Elizabeth Ailes, in a statement on Drudge Report.

Request for submission of films for the 2017 edition of the annual Golden Movie Awards Africa (GMAA) was closed on Thursday May 10, 2017.

The deadline for submissions was extended from April 30, 2017 to enable filmmakers across the continent to be able to submit their works for consideration.

GMAA gives the opportunity to African filmmakers from around the world to receive praise, recognition and be awarded for their efforts at telling the African stories to both Africans and the rest of the world during the period under review.

Rwanda's telecom regulator: 'Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA)' has fined MTN Rwanda, a division of the South African owned telecommunications company, $8.5 million for breaching its licensing conditions by hosting its IT services outside the country.

'More than 3,000 escaped' Makala jail in DR Congo

More than 3,000 prisoners are believed to have escaped the main prison in Democratic Republic of Congo, security sources have told the BBC. 
The authorities say only around 50 prisoners got away when armed men attacked the prison on Wednesday.
The security sources also said dozens of people were killed during the attack on Makala prison.

Nigeria Chibok girls: Lone schoolgirl escapes Boko Haram captivity

A schoolgirl who was abducted by Nigeria's militant Islamists in 2014 has escaped from captivity, a presidential aide has told the BBC. 
The girl was found by government troops while she was escaping, Femi Adesina said, without giving details.
She was among 276 girls seized by Boko Haram from north-eastern Chibok town in 2014, sparking global outrage.
