Forbes’ “World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities Of 2017” List is Out! Diddy, Beyoncé, Ronaldo & More

Forbes has released its annual list of highest paid celebrities for 2017.
From musicians to actors, sports stars and TV hosts, these are the celebrities that made the most money in the 12-month ranking period.
Forbes stated that the 100 celebrities banked a cumulative $5.15 billion pretax during the June 2016 to June 2017 scoring period.

A Kenyan female morgue attendant whose love for her job ended her relationship, has revealed how interesting it has been for her working with the dead.

26-year-old Alice Awuor Omito who started working as a morgue attendant in 2015 with Star Mortuary in Kisumu, currently works with Rosewood Funeral Home in Rongo, Migori County.

'I am a thief' tattooed on forehead of alleged bicycle thief

"I am a thief and a loser."  This is what was tattooed in the forehead of a Brazilian teenager who was caught trying to steal a bicycle in a city near Sao Paulo.  The incident was recorded with a cellphone and published on social media, leading authorities to arrest a local tattoo artist and his accomplice.  Both confessed, police said.

In other words, child labour is explained in Elizabeth Asare's Management in Living book as, the engagement of a child under fifteen years in income-generating activities other than the usual light domestic and agricultural work within the household of their parents, where the work performed by the child is considered excessive, exploitative, detrimental to the development of the child and hinders proper preparation for adult role and responsibilities.

South African girl on murder charge for killing 'would-be rapist'

A 17-year-old girl, who handed herself in to South African police, has been charged with murder after killing a man who allegedly tried to rape her.
"She was on her way to a local tavern when she was allegedly attacked by the deceased and fought back," police said.

Metropolitan Police release images of fake explosive belts won by London Bridge attackers

The Metropolitan Police on Sunday 11 June, released pictures of the fake explosive belts worn by the London Bridge attackers.

All three of the attackers wore the leather belts. Each had three disposable water bottles covered in masking tape attached to the belt.

The couple was seen getting frisky at the bus stop in Elgin in Scotland and Debbie, 26, filmed it then uploaded it online where it has been viewed thousands of times.

Trump to be sued over foreign payments by attorneys general

Officials in Maryland and Washington DC are expected to sue Donald Trump for accepting payments from foreign governments via his business empire.
The lawsuit cites the US constitution's emoluments clause, which says no federal official should receive a gift or a fee from a foreign government.
The legal action alleges "unprecedented constitutional violations" by the US president, the Washington Post reports.

Jealous man chops off ex-girlfriend’s hand in Suhum Eastern Region

A 22-year-old farmer, Joshua Tei, has been declared wanted by the police in the Suhum Municipality in Ghana, for allegedly chopping off his girlfriend's hand over suspicion of cheating.

According to Daily Guide, the incident occurred at about 7:30 pmon Saturday at Aponoapono, a farming community in the Eastern Region.

Floyd Mayweather’s ‘Undefeated' tour rescheduled

American Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jnr has rescheduled his visit to Ghana to a later date.
The much expected tour was expected to take place in Ghana on June 15th but has been put on hold until further notice.

Woman Who Allegedly Raised False Alarm In Major Mahama’s Murder Arrested

The eight suspected killers of Major Maxwell Mahama who were arraigned last Friday included the snail seller who allegedly gave a false alarm that led to the lynching of the army officer.
The snail seller, whose name was given as Akosua Takyiwaa, aka Maame Bono, is said to have raised the false alarm by calling the Assembly Member for the Denkyira Obuasi, who mobilised people to allegedly kill the soldier.

In 2008, Mariam Staford Bandaba was viciously attacked by a machete-wielding gang who tried to kill her and sell her remains for witchcraft.

Nick Gordon Makes First Court Appearance After Domestic Violence Arrest:

Nick Gordon made his first court appearance on Sunday, after being arrested on Saturday on charges of domestic violence and false imprisonment of his current girlfriend.
The sheriff's office in Sanford, Florida, confirmed to ET that bond was set for the 27-year-old ex-boyfriend of the late Bobbi Kristina Brown at $15,500 -- $500 for the domestic violence charge and $15,000 for false imprisonment.

DR Congo jailbreak frees 900 inmates

Eleven people were killed when militants attacked a prison in the Democratic Republic of Congo and freed more than 900 inmates, officials say.
The governor of North Kivu province said the attackers had used heavy weapons in the raid on the jail in Beni.
At least eight of the dead are prison guards, Julien Paluku added. A curfew has been declared. The identity of the attackers is not yet clear.

President Donald Trump's wife, Melania, has made it official. She and their young son have moved into the White House.
The first lady tweeted the news on Sunday evening after she arrived at the White House with Trump and their 11-year-old son, Barron. The president spent the weekend at his private golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

The centrist party of French President Emmanuel Macron looks on course to win a landslide victory following the first round of parliamentary elections.
Projections show La Republique en Marche (Republic on the Move) and its MoDem ally set to win up to 445 seats in the 577-seat National Assembly.
The final outcome will be decided at a run-off next Sunday.

Dad who spent 17 years in prison is finally released after police find his lookalike

A man who spent 17 years in prison for a crime he did not commit has been released after police found his lookalike. Richard Anthony Jones from Kansas City, Kansas, was freed on Thursday after a judge declared there was no longer sufficient evidence to convict him.
Richard was jailed in 1999 for armed robbery based on an eyewitness account. During a new hearing into his case, witnesses who testified against him said they couldn't tell Richard from  his look alike, Ricky.
