US sells $181bn Warplanes to Nigeria to help fight Boko Haram

The United States government has sold warplanes worth $181 billion to the Nigerian government in its bid to combat the Islamic sect Boko Haram.
According to Punch, the US Department of Defence (Pentagon) informed the Congress of the sale of 12 Super Tucano A-29 ground attack aircraft and weapons to Nigeria.

The Kardashians opened up their hearts and their wallets for Houston, which has been ravaged by Hurricane Harvey and subsequent flooding.
Family matriarch Kris Jenner took to Instagram on Aug. 29 to announce that she and her daughters have donated $500,000 to relief efforts.

FDA bans hydroquinone

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has, with immediate effect, banned the importation and use of hydroquinone in the country.
“The FDA wishes to remind the public that hydroquinone ceases to be part of ingredients permitted in cosmetic products on the Ghanaian market with immediate effect,” the Chief Executive Officer of the authority, Mrs Delese Mimi Darko, told the Daily Graphic in an interview in Accra Monday.
