Kenyan opposition MPs boycott Uhuru Kenyatta's speech

Opposition MPs in Kenya have boycotted the opening of the new parliament to protest against President Uhuru Kenyatta's decision to address it after a court annulled his election win. 
They say that parliament should not have been convened until after the election re-run slated for 17 October.

Apple announces the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus

Apple just unveiled the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus at its press event. It looks a lot like the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but with a glass back. The iPhone 8 still has a single camera while the 8 Plus has a double camera.
It comes in silver, space grey and a new gold finish that looks like a mix between gold and rose gold.

Three Italians die after falling into hole at volcano near Naples

An Italian couple and their 11-year-old son were killed on Tuesday when a hole opened up in the ground at a bubbling volcanic crater near Naples, a popular tourist site.
Italy's fire brigade said it pulled three dead bodies from a shallow hole in a section of the crater at the Solfatara volcano, which was surrounded by a wooden fence meant to keep tourists out.

8 dead, gunman killed at Dallas football watch party in Texas

8 people were shot dead on Sunday night when a gunman with multiple weapons barged into his ex-wife's home and went on a shooting spree.
A Texas football watch party had been underway at the single-family home off Spring Creek Parkway in Plano, less than 20 minutes from Dallas, around 8 p.m. when the shooter opened fire inside the party. Two people were wounded, and 7 were killed before authorities arrived and shot the gunman dead.
