Ugandan Millionaire Mohammed Hamid Launches $150 Million Hotel

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni has reportedly launched the Pearl of Africa Hotel, a 5-star hotel owned by Ugandan millionaire businessman Mohammed Hamid.
According to a report by Ugandan newspaper, New Vision, Museveni launched the property at a colorful ceremony on Tuesday night which was attended by leading government functionaries, prominent business moguls and local celebrities.

Beyonce's Spanish-language remix of "Mi Gente" for hurricane relief opened Wednesday on top of the US Latin song chart, finally dethroning the global mega-hit "Despacito."
"Mi Gente," which Colombian reggaeton star J Balvin created from the African dance rhythms of French DJ Willy William, had lingered for 11 weeks at number two on the Billboard Latin song chart underneath the colossus of "Despacito."

The sacked official of the Ghana International Bank in the UK Mark Arthur has said the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu is innocent in the cash transaction that subsequently got him to lose his job.
Mr. Arthur was dismissed after the traditional ruler of the Kingdom of Ashanti, summoned him to his multimillion-pound residence in Henley-on-Thames and handed him a bag containing almost £200,000 in sterling as well as $200,000 in US currency for saving at the bank.

The United States has announced it will withdraw from the United Nations Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), accusing the body of "anti-Israel bias".
Heather Nauert, US state department spokesperson, said on Thursday the US would establish an "observer mission" to replace its representation at the Paris-based agency.
