Two Heads of State Arrive in Ghana for 5th ECOWAS Presidential Task Force Meeting on the Single Currency Programme

Two Heads of State have arrived in Ghana ahead of the 5th ECOWAS Presidential Task Force Meeting on the Single Currency Programme expected to take place tomorrow the 21st February 2018, at the Accra International Conference Centre. 

President of Cote d'Ivoire, Allassane Ouattara and President of Niger, Issoufou Mafiamadou, were both received at the Jubilee lounge of the Kotoka International Airport by Vice President, Mahamudu Bawumia. 

Addressing the Press after receiving the Heads of State, the Vice President indicated that the agenda of tomorrow's meeting is to accelerate the process to achieving a single currency for the ECOWAS sub-region which ultimately will lead to economy development within West Africa. 

The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari and several other Heads of State, Governors of Central Banks and Foreign and Finance Ministers from the ECOWAS region are expected to participate in tomorrow's event
