Government To Fund Movie Production
The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has hinted it will be
releasing funds to support the Ghana Movie Industry which is not
vibrant as it used to be.
A member of the organizers for the Ghana Movie Week, Michael Ola, disclosed and commended government for the initiative.
“The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Arts wants to give some kind of funding to filmmakers to help them in their work,” he said, while whilst giving an overview of the plans to mark the celebration.
According to the organizers of the festival, the minister of Tourism, Catherine Afeku will also educate participants on plans the ministry is putting in place to support the film industry.
On his part, the Minister for Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Bafuor, is to take them through how workers of the industry can benefit from pension plans, insurance and better salary structure.
