Women in Worship 2018 launched; Sinach to headline all-female gospel concert @ Perez Dome, Sept. 20
The 2018 edition of “Women In Worship,” the annual all-female gospel concert had been launched.
Slated for Thursday September 20, at the Perez Dome (Dzorwulu), the concert will be headlined by Nigeria’s Sinach, with supporting performances from Ghana’s Ohemaa Mercy, Tagoe Sisters , Minister Jackie Mpare , Minister Kekeli , Ceccy Twum and Amy Newman.
The event will also be graced by notable women and Christian personalities including Mrs Rita Korankye Ankrah, Rev. Lady Adelaide, Rev. Christie Doe Tetteh among others, with a words of exhortation.
Speaking at a press launch held at the AH Hotel in Accra yesterday, August 15, Mrs Georgina Nettey, founder of Women In Worship, said that the aim of the event is to create a lasting impact in the lives of women, as well as to support causes dear to women.
According to her, this year’s event will continue to raise funds for the support of the education and sensitization of cervical cancer, which will include outreach programmes and free screenings.
