Eddie was born in Liberia on May 22nd, 1980 and as a child was forced to live through the country’s nearly 15years of civil war(1989-2013).

He did not allow the horrific traumatic experiences of war to deter him from pushing forward in life. He earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Economics from the University of Liberia (class of 2005-06). In 2007, he moved to Ghana for a fresh start. In 2010, a few years after moving to Ghana, he began his journey as an actor.

He has engaged in many humanitarian efforts with orphanages and NGOs including New Life Orphanage Ghana, Good Shepherd Orphanage Ghana and USAID Ghana. His documentary film, “EBOLA”, was one of his humanitarian efforts after the Ebola outbreak hit West Africa in 2014. The film was meant to educate people in areas affected by the disease. The film was totally financed by Eddie Watson himself and was distributed to most media houses in countries affected plus others in the region of publication and also on the internet without a single charge from the actor.

He launched the “We Need Help-Ebola Campaign the same year the film was shot with the Twitter hashtag #WeNeedHelpEbola. Later that year, the film went on to win Best Short Film at the Ghana Movie Awards (GMA).

Other awards he received includes: Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA) and African Entertainment Legend Awards (AELA).

He’s starred in over fifty (50) Nollywood movies and has also produced many movies.

In 2018, Eddie directed and played a lead role in a sensitization campaign movie -TRAPPED to raise drug prevention awareness amongst youths and vulnerable adults.
