Video: Why Tiffany Haddish is returning to her home country Eritrea
Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish is Eritrean and proud and she
never backs down from flaunting her heritage whenever she gets the
chance.
Born in Los Angeles to an African-American mother and Eritrean
father, Haddish visited the Horn of Africa nation last year in what was
an emotional homecoming
to bury her father and also meet and connect with her relatives.
Haddish’s father, Tsihaye Reda Haddish, entered the United States as a
refugee.
With Eritrea’s independence day nearing, the Girls Trip star is returning to her father’s homeland to join in the celebrations.
On Thursday, Ethiopian Airlines shared photos of Haddish feeling all comfortable on board their flight to Asmara and also being presented with a bouquet of flowers on their Twitter page.
“It’s our honour to have the renowned Eritrean – American Actress, comedian and Author, Tiffany Haddish on board Ethiopian Airlines on her way to Asmara,” they captioned.
