I can now listen to radio - Otumfuo tells Abusua FM’s Kwame Adinkra

Overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has said that he will start listening to radio again because renowned broadcaster Luther King Kwame Adinkra, is back in the Ashanti region.

The Ashanti King, who is an ardent listener of the celebrated morning show host, urged the media to transform society and desist from ‘loud talk’ which does not impact positively on society.


He counseled EIB Network, owners of Abusua 96.5 FM, on which Adinkra started hosting Abusua Nkomo on Monday, to use its numerous platforms to educate the public more on the electoral processes to deepen the country’s democracy.

“Most at times voters do not mandate candidates based on their competence but on their nice looks on the ballot paper. It is for this reason that you need to educate the populace to have a clear understanding of who they may be voting for at the polls,” he observed.

Otumfuo made the call when Adinkra paid a courtesy call on him on Wednesday.
