Asiedu Nketia escapes death in motor crash

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has escaped unscathed when his vehicle hit a taxi on the Kintampo-Techiman road in the Brong Ahafo region Sunday.
General Mosquito, as he is affectionately called, was on his way to Kumasi with other NDC members when a Daewoo Matiz with registration number BA 2507-14 rammed into his vehicle.

The driver of the taxi sustained severe injuries and has been rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The police and the Municipal Chief Executive for Kintampo North, Justice Michael Baffuor, have confirmed the motor crash.
“The General Secretary called me that the taxi driver crossed him while he was heading to Kumasi, but nothing happened to him. So I have given them a new car and they have taken off to Kumasi,” the MCE told the media after the incident.
Mr. Nketia has been crisscrossing the country as the campaign ahead of the 2016 elections heats up. He was on his way to Kumasi on official duties.
