Justin Bieber indicted in Argentina assault case

Justin Bieber has been indicted in a years-old assault and theft case in Argentina. The superstar will be arrested should he enter the country.

As Gossip Cop has reported, the issue dates back to 2013, when the singer was touring in Buenos Aires.

He was accused of instructing his security guards to beat up a paparazzo, and then steal his money and camera. In 2014, Bieber was ordered to return to Argentina to testify. When he never did, an arrest warrant was issued in 2015.

The warrant was subsequently canceled, even though the case was still ongoing. Now, three years after this saga began, Bieber has been indicted for robbery causing minor injuries. If he travels to Argentina, he will be subject to arrest.

But the singer, of course, doesn’t have any intentions of going there. In fact, Bieber tweeted an apology to Argentinian fans back in May, explaining that he couldn’t risk stepping foot in the country. That said, he placed the blame entirely on the government.

“Argentinian beliebers I would like nothing more than to bring the #purposetour there but the Argentinian government won’t allow it. So sorry,” he said, adding, “If things were to change I would love to come but at this time I cannot. For everyone else in South America I look forward to seeing you.”

Bieber’s “Purpose World Tour” is currently scheduled to have its Latin America legs in February and March. Obviously, Argentina is not slated to be one of the stops. In the meantime, he plans to appeal the indictment.
