South Africa unrest over ANC's Tshwane candidate

Police are battling to quell violence that has broken out in the area around South Africa's capital, Pretoria. A government statement calling for calm said police officers "came under fire as protesters allegedly attacked their car with stones".
Trouble broke out in the Tshwane area reportedly over the mayoral candidate chosen by the governing ANC for August's elections.
The tension relates to factionalism within the party, analysts say.
Local media are showing pictures of burning barricades blocking main roads.
South Africa's government has called for dialogue to sort out the problem.

PAC revelations: Railways’ cashier embezzles GHC1.5m

A cashier of the Ghana Railway Company limited has stolen GHC1.5million from the company, a 2014 audit into the company’s operations by the auditor general has revealed.

According to the acting managing director of the company, John Essel, an attempt by the Economic and Organised Crime Office to retrieve the money has yielded no results.

“The monies were siphoned from 2006 to 2008. In 2006, the company undertook retrenchment of some of the staff, so after the retrenchment exercise, the remaining workers felt that people have left, and so they are going to enjoy better conditions of service, which never was the case. So, apathy set in, indiscipline became the order of the day and virtually at the same time, there were no investments in the sector.

EL to attend BET Awards, June 26

Reigning VGMA Artist of the year, EL, will be at the BET Awards slated for June 26, thanks to EIB boss, Bola Ray.
This, sources say, is a sort of compensation for the technical hitches he faced at he recently held Tigo Ghana Meets Naija event. EL’s performance became a huge talking point when his sound was shut off for a long while at the event.
EL was widely expected to be nominated for the Best International Act: Africa at the BETs, which comes off at the Microsoft Theatre, Los Angeles, but the slot went to singer MzVee instead.
EL is currently working on the third installment of his B.A.R mixtapes. His new single, Kaa Bu Ame, is out now.

Bishop Obinim Communicates With Dead Man During Church Service

A man who has died for weeks revealed his secret account in commercial bank of Ghana to the wife through Bishop Dr. Daniel Obinim during a church service at the kenyasi Bosore branch of International God’s Way Church in kumasi, Ghana.

On Sunday 19th June 20016 during prophecy time, Bishop Obinim requested a woman in funeral cloth who is mourning the husband to come forward because the dead husband was communicating with him.

Two women who were mourning their dead husbands got up but the dead man whose voice could only be heard by Bishop Obinim directed him to the wife among the two .
