M-Net To Screen Exclusive Oscar Pistorius Interview On June 24

M-Net and SuperSport have secured the rights to screen the much talked-about ITV documentary Oscar Pistorius: The Interview, featuring the former Paralympic athlete’s first television interview since the tragic events of Valentine’s Day in 2013.

M-Net viewers will be able to watch the interview as part of a Carte Blanche special minutes after its world-premiere on the UK television network on Friday, 24 June.

The Carte Blanche special, which will include an in-depth panel discussion, will start at 22:55 CAT on Friday, 24 June on both M-Net and its sister channel M-Net City (channel 115), which is also on DStv Compact. Soon thereafter (exact details to be confirmed) the documentary as well as the Carte Blanche special will become available on all the DStv Catch Up platforms, while SuperSport will broadcast further screenings for those who didn’t stay up late for the express delivery to M-Net on Friday night.

Wonders in U/W: ‘Virgin Mary’ appears in Wa

An image of the suspected Virgin Mary in Wa Gaa Muni a section of the Zongo suburb of the Wa Municipality in the Western region has been turned into a worship center as scores of Catholics have besieged the place to catch a glimpse of what they say is the apparition of the Virgin Mary.

The claimed apparition of the Virgin Mary which is inside the light bulb of the street light in the area started at about 2pm Wednesday afternoon.

According to Paul Sibere, a meat seller near the street light, he was the first to see the apparition.

He explained that he had often doubted his family members who claimed they have seen the Virgin Mary at various locations in the Upper West region.

EIB Election Hub partners Rotary’s National Peace Summit 2016

The Rotary Club of Accra, Legon is holding a National Peace Summit with flagbearers of political parties in Ghana.

The summit, scheduled to take place this Saturday, June 25, 2016 is in partnership with EIB Network’s Election Hub and the Kofi Annan International Peace Keeping Centre. It will be aired live on all the EIB platforms which include Starr FM, Kasapa FM, Live FM, Ultimate FM, Agoo FM, GhOne TV, Agoo TV, Abusua FM, Empire FM among others.

Former presidents JJ Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor are expected to grace the occasion which is under the theme: “Preserving a millennium of peace; our collective responsibility”.

Former Miss Ghana Stephanie Karikari, has given a damning verdict on the nation’s premier beauty pageant, describing it as “a dead brand” that needs to take a break and return after about three years better packaged and more attractive.

Crowned Miss Ghana 2010, Stephanie observed that the Miss Ghana pageant had lost its spark and pride of place under the management of Exclusive Events and is yearning for a return to its finest years when it was one of the most anticipated and most competitive events in the country.
The former beauty queen told the Graphic Showbiz that Ghanaians had lost interest in the Miss Ghana pageant because it lacked the competitive touch, integrity and finesse in its organisation.
