Presentation of the first batch of prizes for winners of the 20th Anniversary Promotion of Mobile Telecommunications Network, (MTN) Ghana was held at Achimota Mall on the Starr Drive with Anita Erskine & Giovani Elolo Caleb on Tuesday, june 28th, 2016. The first ultimate winner, Eugenia Adama a fashion designer from Latebiokorshie in Accra has been presented with a Range Rover sports vehicle whiles the second prize winner, Prince Borbie was also presented with a two bedroom house at Community 22 in Tema, with others receiving air tickets for pleasure trips to Dubai. Cash prizes were also awarded to three others —Pierre Naa Baror Kweibu, Christopher Mensah and Tim Miles. Man stabbed to death over GHC45

Kwaku Gyasi, a trader believed to be in his mid -twenties met his untimely death Thursday morning after he was stabbed by a fellow trader at Adum, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti region.

Narrating the incident to, a local reporter in Kumasi, Isaac Anning said the culprit, Eric, had gone to demand GHC45, owed him by the deceased but suddenly, without provocation, Eric pulled a knife from his face towel and stabbed Gyasi three times in his chest, leading to his death.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue, and the culprit has been placed in custody at the Kumasi Central Police station. Investigation has commenced into the incident.

Bridget Otoo taken Off TV3 New Day

Viewers of New Day on TV3 would have noticed that for most part of the week, host Bridget Otoo does not join the morning show team. Well, I have the reason why!!!

Bridget has been taken off the show over disciplinary issues. Sources say there had been many complains to management regarding her behaviour on and off set, from guests and colleagues alike. Rumour has it that her relationship with co-host Moon Sangmoor had soured so much that the rivalry was even obvious during the live shows. 

It is not clear when Bridget would return on show but she is currently on leave according to sources.

Konadu didn’t pay Komla Dumor’s fees - Family

The Family of Komla Dumor has denied claims by Ghana’s former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings that she paid the tuition fees of the late broadcaster when he was at the University of Ghana.

“I paid Komla Dumor’s fees at the university,” Konadu disclosed to Bola Ray on personality profile show Starr Chat on Wednesday.

The Dumor family has described Mrs. Rawlings’ assertions as “patently false.”

According to the family, at the time the late BBC icon was in school, government had not introduced tuition fees. “By the time Student Fees were introduced, Komla had already graduated from the University of Ghana. He was therefore never in a position to be required to pay fees to begin with,” Korshie Dumor said in a statement on behalf of the Dumor Family.

Duncan Williams, Others To Lead Ghana In Prayer

Founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International (ACI), Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams will on Friday, July 1 join other clergymen to lead the nation in prayer for a peaceful general election.

The programme which will take place in all the ten regions is organised by the National Association of Charismatic and Christian Churches (NACCC) under the theme “Securing Peace, Prosperity and Stability through prayer.”

Clergymen namely Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams, Bishop James Saah, Bishop Matthew Addae-Mensah, Rev. Dr Ampiah-Kwofi, Rev Dr Victor Osei and Rev Steve Mensah will lead the nation into the special time with God.
