Clinton's lead passes the 2 million mark

Hillary Clinton's margin in the popular vote against President-elect Donald Trump has surpassed 2 million, furthering the record for a candidate who lost in the Electoral College.
Thanks to votes still being counted in California and other western areas, Clinton's vote advantage hit the 2 million mark on Wednesday morning, according to Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report.

As of mid-day Wednesday, Wasserman's spread sheet had Clinton at 64,225,863 votes to Trump's 62,210,612.

Much of that lead was generated by California, where Clinton had 3.7 million more votes than Trump in the last totals reported Tuesday evening.

The Democratic vote was not distributed well enough across the country, however;  Trump carried most of the states and prevailed in the Electoral College.

In the wake of this latest split decision — the same thing happened in 2000, when Al Gore won the popular vote but lost to George W. Bush on electoral votes — some Democrats are calling for a…

The two met in 2010, when Gucci requested Ka'oir appear in a music video (he had seen her in XXL magazine before) and they soon began dating.

"We had our ups and downs, 'cause I would mess up and do stupid junk, but she had my back through all of it," Gucci told The New York Times in July.

While the Hawks lost 112-94 to the New Orleans Pelicans, Gucci and Ka'oir definitely won the night.
Billboard has reached out to Gucci's rep for comment.

Kanye's hospitalization could lead to hefty insurance payout

Kanye West's recent hospitalization could lead to a hefty payout, according to reports.

The "Famous" singer has an insurance policy in place that covers him if an illness prevents him performing — and it takes care of not only the money he would have made, but also what he owes, according to TMZ.
West reportedly lost $30 million for canceling the shows - which were slated to wrap up with a New Year's Eve show at Brooklyn's Barclays Center — and he is also on the hook for even more cash owed to venues and other vendors.

The insurance company could deny coverage if there was a previous condition that was undisclosed or if the illness was caused by "unreasonable or capricious behavior," according to TMZ. However, it is unclear if West was suffering from anything prior to this week.

The rapper canceled the remainder of his tour on Monday, just hours before he was hospitalized for his own "health and safety" after he began behaving erraticall…

Neymar: Spanish court calls for Barcelona player to serve two-year prison sentence

Spanish prosecutors have called for Barcelona forward Neymar to be sent to prison for two years for his part in a corruption case over his transfer from Brazilian club Santos in 2013.
Judge Jose Perals also called for a five-year sentence for former Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and a fine of 8.4million euros (£7.2m) for the club.
It asked to drop charges against current president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

Rosell, Neymar and his father are set to stand trial.
Under the Spanish legal system, prison terms of under two years are typically suspended.
The case stems from a complaint by Brazilian investment group DIS, which owned 40% of Neymar's transfer rights and alleges it received less money than it was entitled to from transfer fee.
Rosell resigned as the club's president in 2014 for his role in the affair and testified in court in February alongside Bartomeu, Neymar and Neymar's father.
The club struck a deal with prosecutors in June to settle a separate case, paid a £4…

S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley tapped to be Trump’s U.N. ambassador

President-elect Donald Trump announced Wednesday that he will nominate South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, selecting a rising Republican star and daughter of Indian immigrants for the prestigious post.
Haley’s nomination marks Trump’s first female appointment to a cabinet-level post and comes as his advisers are seeking to diversify the incoming administration’s ranks. Haley, a former Trump rival, is generally considered a mainstream Republican, with views on military and national security matters that fall within the GOP’s hawkish mainstream. She has little foreign policy experience.

“Governor Haley has a proven track record of bringing people together regardless of background or party affiliation to move critical policies forward for the betterment of her state and our country,” Trump said in a statement. “She will be a great leader representing us on the world stage.”

Haley, who has accepted the offer, said she is “honored that the …

FBI Closes Review of Brad Pitt Airplane Incident

The FBI has closed its review regarding allegations made about Brad Pitt and an incident involving his children on an airplane, the agency said on Tuesday.
“In response to allegations made following a flight within the special aircraft jurisdiction of the United States which landed in Los Angeles carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children, the FBI has conducted a review of the circumstances and will not pursue further investigation. No charges have been filed in this matter,” the FBI said in a statement.

Pitt was also cleared by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services last month.

The alleged incident involved Pitt and his teenage son Maddox while the family was on a private jet flying from France to Los Angeles, with a stop in Minnesota, on Sept. 14. The DCFS had previously concluded that, while an argument allegedly ended with physical contact, it did not constitute as child abuse. Angelina Jolie’s rep said at the time that the DCFS was “now satisfied t…

Twitter accidentally suspends its own CEO's account

Twitter has been left red-faced after it briefly suspended its own CEO's account.
For a while late Tuesday, attempts to reach Jack Dorsey's profile produced an error message saying it had been suspended. That prompted speculation his account might have been hacked or automatically shut down because of a high number of complaints from other users.

After it came back online, Dorsey tweeted that the suspension was the result of "an internal mistake.

"That provoked angry responses from some people asking how many regular users' accounts might also have been accidentally frozen by the company in the past.
Twitter didn't immediately respond to a request for further comment about what caused Dorsey's account to be put on ice.
"Just setting up my twttr...again (account suspension was an internal mistake)," Dorsey wrote -- a spin on the first ever message on Twitter (TWTR, Tech30), which he posted in March 2006.
Some parts of his account, which uses t…

‘Hillary for Prison’ Crew Turns on Trump

President-elect Donald Trump signaled he would break one of his most authoritarian campaign-promises: His vow to do everything he could to jail his political rival Hillary Clinton.
“It’s just not something that I feel very strongly about," Trump told reporters and columnists at the New York Times Tuesday afternoon. “I don’t want to hurt the Clintons, I really don’t. She went through a lot and suffered greatly in many different ways."
Trump told the Times, regarding his supporters, “I don’t think they’ll be disappointed.”

He thought wrong.
Many of Trump’s more high-profile fans, surrogates, and allies are angry about this about-face and insist “Crooked Hillary” - as Trump dubbed her throughout the campaign - be locked up.
“I’m hearing from people who are livid at Hillary, they’re still mad,” Rush Limbaugh, the famous conservative talk show host, said on Tuesday afternoon. “There are a lot of people who really thought that when Trump said ‘You oughta be in jail,’ that th…

Robert Mugabe, is the world's oldest and one of the longest serving Head of State at 92 years old. Mugabe having ruled for over 30 years, was reportedly advised to drop out of the 2018 election race by his medical doctors, which possibly is the main reason he is forcing himself into retirement.
