STX Halts ‘Godforsaken’ As Sylvester Stallone Exits

STX Entertainment has halted pre-production on Godforsaken, after Sylvester Stallone abruptly decided not to go forward with the starring role. Jim Mickle has been set to direct the Daniel Casey script, which was to begin production in Atlanta December 5. This one has to hurt as it was the mystery picture that Stallone boasted about during STX’s presentation at CinemaCon, coming off Stallone’s Oscar nomination for Creed.
Stallone brought it to STX and worked on the script with the writer and Lawrence Grey, the producer through his Grey Matter banner.

Stallone was going to play an aging ex-con with more regrets than memories. Upon hearing about his son’s death, his solitude is quickly broken as he must now protect the only family he has left and avenge a son he hardly knew. Mickle helmed Cold in July.
Crew is being told and the project will go back into development with Mickle and Grey. Am trying to find out specifics on why the picture halted two weeks before starting, but i…

Donald Trump blasts the Green Party and Hilary Clinton for election recount, says it's a scam

President-elect Donald Trump blasted the election recount on Saturday, calling it "a scam" and "ridiculous" adding that Hillary Clinton had already conceded. He said the fundraising ploy by the Green Party and its nominee, Jill Stein was just a way to make some money.

He said:
"This recount is just a way for Jill Stein, who received less than one percent of the vote overall and wasn't even on the ballot in many states, to fill her coffers with money, most of which she will never even spend on this ridiculous recount."

Jill Stein was the presidential candidate for the Green Party. She had a fundraising where she requested $2.5million for the election recount in Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania and fortunately raised over $5 million online for the recount in Wisconsin, which may begin some time next week. Then she raised her target to $7million saying that she needed the extra funds for her lawyers.
After Trump complained about the recount, h…

Nigeria and Ghana reach women's Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals

Nigeria thrashed Kenya 4-0 to reach the semi-finals of the women's Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon from Group B along with Ghana who beat Mali 3-1 to book their place.
At the start of the final group matches on Saturday, Nigeria, Ghana and Mali were all vying for the two semi-final places.

Nigeria started quickly against Kenya in Limbe and scored with their second attack after just two minutes of play as Ngozi Okobi fired home on her first start of the tournament.
Four minutes later, Nigeria doubled the lead as Faith Ikidi headed the ball into the top corner beyond the reach of Kenya goalkeeper Vivian Akinyi from a free-kick swung in from the left.
Kenya did not give up and did their best to push forward and had some chances from set-plays to threaten the Nigerian goal without really troubling keeper Alaba Jonathan.
But it was Nigeria who continued to create chances with Asisat Oshoala (pictured) looking dangerous as she looked to add another goal to the four she sco…
