Oprah Scores Final Interview With Michelle Obama as First Lady to Air on CBS, OWN

CBS and OWN (the Oprah Winfrey Network) are teaming up to give America the final one-on-one interview with Michelle Obama in the White House. Oprah Winfrey will conduct the interview with FLOTUS, which will be broadcast on CBS on Dec. 19 at 8/7c and have a second airing on OWN on Dec. 21 at 9/8c.
In “First Lady Michelle Obama Says Farewell to the White House — An Oprah Winfrey Special,” Winfrey will speak to the First Lady in the First Family’s private residence about life at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and her eight years as First Lady of the United States, the legacy she’ll leave behind, and her plans for the future.

Thousands Of Supporters Gather For NDC’s Final Rally (PHOTOS)

Supporters of the National Democratic Congress have arrived at the Accra Sports Stadium for the party’s final rally for election 2016 in the country’s capital, Accra. After several months of campaigning ahead of the general elections which will come off on Wednesday, December 7, the NDC is seeking to cease the moment to deliver its final message to convince its supporters and Ghanaians to vote the party. 

President John Mahama, who is seeking reelection, has said he has by far improved the living conditions of the Ghanaians and implemented social intervention policies aimed.
Several executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are at the Stadium to address the teeming party supporters. President John Mahama, Vice President Amissah-Arthur and other party bigwigs are also present at the venue for the rally. 

Male prostitute cuts off the penis of his 68-year-old male client in New York, abandons him to die

Police have arrested a homeless man, Jerry Pagan, 32, after he allegedly cut off the penis of a 68-year-old man, who was later found dead in a New York City bathroom.
Authorities suspect Pagan, who is a male prostitute, previously had sex with the victim but severed the penis during a dispute concerning an unpaid debt. He reportedly admitted to the crime, stating that he used scissors for the mutilation and wished to 'eat the penis'. Emergency medical workers pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Pagan has since been charged with second-degree murder.

Fake ballots: God is watching NPP – Mahama

The fake thumb-printed ballot papers discovered in Kumasi early Monday morning is part of an attempt by the opposition New Patriotic Party to incite their supporters against a possible defeat after Wednesday's polls, President John Mahama has said.

According to him, the NPP is resorting to several means to create the impression that the only way the NDC can win the elections is to rig.

Reports were rife Monday that the Police had intercepted three bags loaded with thumb-printed presidential ballot papers at the Madison Hotel at TUC in Kumasi. The thumbprints were in favour of the President, who is the candidate of the ruling NDC.

The Ashanti regional Police command and the electoral commission directorate in the region have described the ballot papers as fake.

Commenting on the issue in Kumasi, Mr Mahama said the move is part of an attempt to discredit the results of the polls.

Jimmy Kimmel to host 2017 Oscars

It will be the first time the US comedian and talk show host has fronted the ceremony, which takes place on 26 February.
Kimmel has previously hosted the American Music Awards and has twice fronted the Emmys - in 2012 and 2016.
Previous presenters of the Oscars include Ellen DeGeneres, Chris Rock, Seth MacFarlane, Whoopi Goldberg and Neil Patrick Harris.

The 89th Academy Awards will air on the ABC network in the US.

Naa Ashorkor launches 'Aspire to Bee' initiative

Actress Naa Ashorkor, has kicked start a campaign aimed at encouraging reading amongst school children.
The campaign, dubbed ‘Aspire to Bee” is a spelling competition geared towards encouraging pupils to engage in productive extracurricular activities and most importantly expand their vocabulary.

Speaking at the maiden edition of the campaign held at the Pokuase 1&2 Methodist School, the award winning actress indicated that the initiative was as a result of her deep passion to hear young children speak and express themselves in flawless English.

She added that her choice of the school was as a result of a disturbing experience shared by one of her siblings during her time as a national service personnel at the school.

Gambia opposition leader Ousainou Darboe freed on bail

A Gambian opposition leader, who had been thrown in jail for taking part in a protest, has been released on bail.
Ousainou Darboe has been freed along with 18 other detainees, just days after president Yahya Jammeh lost Thursday's presidential election to property developer Adama Barrow.
The men were arrested in April at a demonstration over the alleged death in custody of an activist.
They were each later sentenced to a three-year prison term.
Mr Darboe, leader of the Unity and Democracy Party (UDP), had been due to stand in the presidential election.
However, the Gambian opposition was left without leadership after the April mass-arrest. 
A coalition of political parties, including the UDP, then picked Adama Barrow as their single candidate to run against President Jammeh. 
Following his shock win on Friday, Mr Barrow heralded a new hope for The Gambia, which is the smallest country on mainland Africa, with a population of fewer than two million.

Justin Bieber Says He's Single and 'Not Really Looking,' Announces First U.S. Stadium Tour

Justin Bieber is happy to be flying solo.
The Purpose artist sat down with Ellen DeGeneres for her Monday talk show, where he opened up about his relationship status, admitting, "I'm not seeing anybody."
"I'm not really looking, either," Bieber added.

The "Sorry" singer certainly isn't looking for love online. Bieber said he's "never" used Tinder, and said he's "not really" interested in ever using a dating app to spark a romance.
"You sound like you're in a really good place," DeGeneres said. "You don't need to be dating right now."

Pizzagate: Man opens fire in Washington restaurant

A man who said he was investigating a conspiracy theory about Hillary Clinton running a child sex ring out of a pizza place has fired an assault rifle inside a Washington, DC, restaurant injuring no one, police and news reports said.
Metropolitan Police Department spokeswoman Aquita Brown said police received a call on Sunday afternoon about a male with a weapon on Connecticut Avenue.

Edgar Maddison Welch, 28, of Salisbury, North Carolina, walked into Comet Ping Pong and pointed a firearm in the direction of a restaurant employee, the Washington Post reported. 
The employee was able to flee and notify police. Welch then fired the gun into the floor.
Police responded and arrested Welch without incident. They recovered an "assault rifle", Brown said. Welch was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Two firearms were recovered inside the restaurant and an additional weapon was recovered from the suspect's vehicle, police said in a statement on Sunday evening.

The wife of NPP Vice Presidential Candidate Samira Bawumia has urged Ghanaians to remember the hardship they have been through under the NDC's 8-year reign when they vote on Wednesday.

Speaking at the NPP's grand finale rally on Sunday, Mrs. Bawumia indicated that voters will prove to President John Mahama that they do not have short memories.
"When we pick the ballot paper on Wednesday, we will remember that various stages of completion means a bare ground with sign post under NDC," she jabbed.

She was referring to the 123 community SHS the government had promised to complete.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) held a final rally at the Trade Fair Centre to round up their campaign ahead of the polls on Wednesday.

Speakers at the rally took jabs at the ruling government as they wooed the hearts of voters across the country through the rally.

Samira Bawumia who in recent times has become a thorn in the flesh of the incumbent government did not waste the opportunity offered her.

Kanye West continues his recovery away from the family but with support from his wife Kim Kardashian

After Kanye West was released from UCLA Medical Center Wednesday, he has been receiving the support and love from wife Kim Kardashian as he continues his recovery from exhaustion as an outpatient at an undisclosed location.

Kanye "will remain getting outpatient treatment till he is fully recovered," a source told E! News exclusively. "Kim wants him to continue getting therapy even after all of this. He has support from so many people."
"Kim is doing okay despite reports," the source continued. "She has many things on her plate so being overwhelmed is expected. She wants to get Kanye back on his feet. She is not leaving him. She loves him."

"Kim will of course always stay by Kanye's side and support him and help him through it all.
