That's when Gideon stepped in and offered to be the man to make her dreams come true.

"Sarah is really nice and pretty and always gets me Legos because she knows I love playing with them," Gideon told
"She just spoils him with attention and Legos. She really knows the way to his heart," Sosy Robinson, Gideon's mom, told TODAY. "Even if she's not assigned to his room, she'll come and bring him Legos."

Sky and 21st Century Fox agree £18.5bn takeover deal

Broadcaster Sky and 21st Century Fox have reached agreement on the terms of a takeover deal.
Rupert Murdoch's 21st Century Fox will pay £11.7bn for the 61% stake it does not already own.
Sky shareholders will receive £10.75 in cash for each share, valuing the entire company at £18.5bn.

The deal comes amid concerns that Rupert Murdoch, who also owns the Sun and the Times newspapers, will have excessive influence over UK media.
Karen Bradley, the Culture Secretary, will have 10 days to decide whether the Fox bid raises public interest concerns - in this case media plurality. She has the power to ask Ofcom, the media watchdog, to examine the deal.
More information
Tom Watson, shadow culture secretary, urged Ms Bradley to refer the deal to Ofcom: "When she stood on the steps of Downing Street this summer, the prime minister said to the people of this country that 'when we take the big calls, we'll think not of the powerful, but you'.
"This is a big call. The …

IGNITION - Gh’s First Ever High School Festival On 22nd December

On Thursday the 22nd of December, over 50 SHS from all over Ghana will converge at the Aviation Social Centre, in a friendly competition in various creative arts and sports activities, at Ghana’s first ever High School Festival dubbed – IGNITION.

Ghana has a teeming youth population but lacks a tailor-made major youth festival that celebrates the teens, their interests and talents, and gives room to their expressions. Additionally, most students come home to limited or no programs during the vacations. Psychologically, these provide deficiencies in the social development of the youth.

To this end, Charterhouse, the No1 events organisation in Ghana, has stepped into this gap, as a matter of urgency, to provide teenagers with a progressive world-class High School Festival called IGNITION.  Scheduled to run twice each year, it will occupy the Christmas and summer breaks of the school calendar, offering the teens an opportunity for a healthy competitive entertainment. This wil…

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Trump has 'no interest' being involved in 'Apprentice'

As Arnold Schwarzenegger takes over the boardroom of "The New Celebrity Apprentice," he's promising a new catch phrase — and no interference from the show's former chief, President-elect Donald Trump, even though he will remain on as executive producer.
"I think it's perfectly fine that he has executive producer credit because he created the show with Mark Burnett together, so why should his credit go?" the former California governor told TODAY's Matt Lauer.

"He made it very clear that he has no interest in being involved. It is now my show, I'm the host, I'm the new boss and I'm going to run this show."

Schwarzenegger said Trump played a big role in getting him on the NBC program, joking it had to do with one of the famous campaign promises the president-elect made on the trail.

"He was part of the negotiations, so I get millions of dollars for hosting the show, but NBC doesn't have to pay for it — Trump makes M…

Leaked footage shows kids as young as 5 in N.Korea forced by Kim Jong-Un to work 10hrs a day (video)

A video footage has been leaked from the very secretive state, North Korea, showing little kids as young as 5 being forced to do hard jobs like loading sacks with heavy rocks, carrying the heavy sacks and repairing railways under the sun for as long as 10 hours a day.

The video, secretly recorded and released by Daily Mirror has angered Human Rights groups, as while this kids are forced to work for the North Korean government like slaves, Supreme leader Kim Jong-Un enjoys a luxury live hundreds of miles away.
Human rights activists have accused Kim of depriving kids of their childhood, claim some kids from poor backgrounds have not been to school in a year and child workers face brutal beatings if they fail to do their jobs.
Michael Glendinning, of the European Alliance of Human Rights in North Korea, said: “The footage obtained by the Mirror is startling in its documentation of one of the worst abuses the North Korean state inflicts – child labour.”

We’re Not Destroying Gov’t Vehicle Documents – DVLA

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has denied reports making rounds that it is destroying vital government vehicle documents after the National Democratic Congress lost the 2016 elections.
“The management of the Authority wishes to explain that there is no iota of truth whatsoever in the story and it must therefore be ignored,” the DVLA said in a statement.
According to the DVLA, it embarked on digitisation of its document early this year to free storage space and having done with the first phase of the exercise it was only prudent to move those documents back to the 37 offices. It said there is no malice behind the exercise.

“It will be recalled that at the beginning of this year, DVLA started a process towards digitising all vehicle records for reasons pertaining to overcrowded storage facilities, the potential for some documents to be destroyed due to improper storage and most important of all, the indispensable need for the Authority to keep very good vehi…

LifeStyle: HR TODAY: Signs of a company that doesn't care

A company culture doesn’t change overnight; it normally takes months or years to transform for better or worse.
Last year research commissioned by Red Letter Days for Business titled ‘2015 Employee engagement: how British business measures up’ found a high correlation between caring line managers and high engagement.

Despite this, high-profile examples of company cultures which don’t develop this type of attitude are still all too frequent. One example of this is Amazon, whose less-than-favourable culture was defended by their CEO Jeff Bezos in a letter to shareholders earlier this month.

HR can stop situations like these developing by noticing the signs early and acting accordingly.

Writing in Forbes, Liz Ryan, Owner and Founder of Human Workplace, gave her ten signs that a company doesn’t care.

1. “They pile on the HR policies until you can’t take a step without getting a manager’s approval. Really bad companies have all of these obnoxious and insulting policies in place:

Internet queen! Meghan Markle is Google's most-searched actress of 2016

Who's that girl! Meghan Markle may be Prince Harry's girlfriend, but she was also online royalty in 2016.
On Wednesday, Dec. 14, Google revealed the top celebrity searches for 2016 and the "Suits" actress topped the charts as the most-searched actress of the year (something tells us it has less to do with her acting and more to do with her personal life).

It's actually quite a feat, considering news of her romance only broke in October.

Meghan beat out fellow actresses Marion Cotillard, who came in second on the list, "Star Wars" sensation Daisy Ridley and Best Actress Oscar winner Brie Larson.

Interestingly, Angelina Jolie didn't figure into the top 10, but her estranged husband, Brad Pitt, took the No. 1 spot for the most-searched actor.

While there has seemingly always been interest in Brad, the public's curiosity this past calendar year was certainly aided by his ongoing divorce, which was announced in September. There is also a strong…

South African accident victim found alive after being in the mortuary for two days, you won't believe what happened next

Msizi Mkhize, 28, was walking home with a friend when he was hit in Kwa-Mashu, a township north of the coastal city of Durban, last week. He was declared dead at the scene of the accident then his body was transported to the Phoenix mortuary, where his body was placed in a fridge.
Imran Keeka, a provincial official for the opposition Democratic Alliance party, said Tuesday:

“When his family arrived for identification purposes a pulse was found in the patient by mortuary staff, who then immediately transported him to Mahatma Gandhi hospital for resuscitation,”
Msizi was resuscitated by nurses and his family was informed of his resuscitation. However, five hours later, Msizi unfortunately died. Understandably, his irate family are now demanding answers.
His Dad Peter Mkhize said:
“I have no words to express how I feel about what happened to my child. “To spend the entire night and morning in the mortuary refrigerator is wrong.” The distraught dad described the rollercoaster of emoti…

Wiyaala has dropped another scintillating video, her fourth this year, with the release of the visuals for Kandibanye from her self- titled debut album “Wiyaala”.

In Kandibanye (Had I Known), Wiyaala plays the role of a young woman casting a spell on an unfaithful lover who abandons her after tricking his victim into surrendering her virginity, despite promises that his love is sincere and will lead to marriage.

Wiyaala says, “after shooting my previous two videos in Wa, and being on tour in the UK, it was an opportunity to film in a scary historical location that complimented the story line.

Africans have been in the UK for several hundred years, so there were no problems with authenticity, but rather the chance to show how young women can be duped into believing the flattery of an artful seducer whose real intentions are dishonourable. But unfaithful lovers should be warned there can be consequences to betrayal!”

The video was directed by Charlotte Appleton and shot on locat…

An 18th Century Chinese imperial seal has been sold for a record €21m (£18m, $22m) - more than 20 times its estimated price.
The sale, to an unnamed Chinese collector, took place in Paris on Wednesday after a heated bidding war, Drouot auction house said.
The palm-sized seal is made of red and white steatite, a type of mineral rock.

It was one of hundreds owned by Emperor Qianlong, one of the longest serving Chinese emperors. The previous record set for an auctioned seal was €14m in 2011.
Intricate craftsmanship
The latest seal sold was originally acquired by a young French naval doctor who visited China in the late 19th Century, and had remained in his family ever since, said Drouot said (link in French).
Asian art expert Alice Jossaume told AFP news agency it had been expected to sell for between €800,000 and €1m.
Emperor Qianlong, an avid art collector who ruled China for much of the 18th Century, was an artist himself who would use seals to sign his works, and commissioned some fo…

U.S. Officials: Putin Personally Involved in U.S. Election Hack

U.S. intelligence officials now believe with "a high level of confidence" that Russian President Vladimir Putin became personally involved in the covert Russian campaign to interfere in the U.S. presidential election, senior U.S. intelligence officials told NBC News.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.

Putin's objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a "vendetta" against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to "split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn't depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore," the official said.

Muslim girl who claimed she was attacked by Trump supporters in New York has been arrested for making up the story

A Muslim teenager, Yasmin Seweid, 18, who claimed she was called a terrorist and had her hijab pulled off by Donald Trump supporters on a New York subway train, has been arrested after she confessed that she lied about the whole story.
Seweid, who is a student at New York's Baruch College, was arrested by police on Wednesday for filing a false report and admitting she lied about the so-called attack.

Seweid initially told police she was harassed by three drunk white men when she got on a train at the 23rd Street station in Manhattan on December 1. She claimed the men taunted her, and told her 'you don't belong here' and referred to her hijab as a 'rag.' In the Polie report she filed, she claimed that one of the men grabbed her bag, and broke the strap in the process while another tried to take off her hijab before she fled the train at Grand Central Station to try and flag down police.
After the 'incident' she went on her Facebook page and abo…

Jimmy Kimmel Reveals His Pay for Hosting Oscars

As one of the biggest names in late-night television, Jimmy Kimmel will only earn what he might consider pocket change as he hosts the Academy Awards this February.
The late-night host appeared on KROQ’s “Kevin & Bean” morning show on Wednesday, where he revealed he’ll be paid $15,000 to host the Oscars ceremony. Though the numbers may seem a bit low, compared to what he normally makes, Kimmel joked about the sum, saying, “I think it’s illegal to pay nothing.”
“I’m not sure I was supposed to reveal this,” he added. “But nobody told me not to. I consider this their fault.”
In addition to “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” the 49-year-old comedian has also hosted his own Oscars aftershow on ABC within the last few years. The announcement that Kimmel would host seemed rather overdue, as the host for film’s biggest night is usually announced months prior.
“They asked like 14 people and they all said no and then there was me,” Kimmel also joked on “Kevin & Bean.” “I absolutely was surprise…

Mr Aja who spoke to Pulse Ghana said, "I started following the party when Prof. Mills was the candidate so I did a song for him but God called him and another attractive man came and I did a song for him.

Yahoo says 1 billion accounts exposed in newly discovered security breach

Yahoo Inc warned on Wednesday that it had uncovered yet another massive cyber attack, saying data from more than 1 billion user accounts was compromised in August 2013, making it the largest breach in history.

The number of affected accounts was double the number implicated in a 2014 breach that the internet company disclosed in September and blamed on hackers working on behalf of a government. News of that attack, which affected at least 500 million accounts, prompted Verizon Communication Inc to say in October that it might withdraw from an agreement to buy Yahoo's core internet business for $4.83 billion.
Following the latest disclosure, Verizon said, "we will review the impact of this new development before reaching any final conclusions."

A Yahoo spokesman told Reuters that the company has been in communication with Verizon during its investigation into the breach and that it is confident the incident will not affect the pending acquisition. Yahoo required a…
