Sri Lankan church service prints Tupac rap lyrics by accident

Attendees at a recent Sri Lankan Christmas carol service may have had a raunchier sing-a-long than they intended.
A booklet distributed at the Dec. 11 “Joy to the World 2016” event accidentally included Tupac’s “Hail Mary” instead of the traditional Christian prayer, according to CNN — and the rapper’s version is definitely not suitable for a church gathering.
The printed lyrics include lines such as “Revenge is like the sweetest joy next to gettin’ p—-” and “I’ll be down in the dark/Thuggin’ eternal through my heart,” as well as references to violence.
“A lot of people were in shock as whether it was a joke or someone would actually rap the song,” event attendee Andrew Choksy told CNN. “A few of the older ladies in front of us could not stop looking at the printed booklet.

Three people, including Troy, were injured in the shooting, while his bodyguard Ronald "Banga" McPhatter was killed. Troy spent six weeks in jail before being released on $500,000 bond on July 11. Both on record and through his lawyers, Troy has repeatedly claimed self-defense in the incident.

Uganda: 30 drown after boat carrying football team capsizes on Lake Albert

At least 30 people have drowned after a boat carrying a football team and their fans capsized on Lake Albert in Uganda, police say.
The overcrowded vessel was carrying some 45 people. Police say the boat became unbalanced when too many passengers moved to one side.
Nine bodies have been recovered, and 15 people have been rescued, reports say.
Boat accidents are fairly common on Lake Albert and in other parts of Africa.
Vessels are often packed with too many people and goods, and in a poor state.
Police commander John Rutagira told AFP news agency most passengers were drunk by the time they embarked on the boat.
The group, from Buliisa District, was on its way to a Christmas day football match in Hoima District, singing songs and blowing trumpets and whistles.
Fishermen have helped authorities on the rescue operation.
In November, 10 people drowned in Lake Albert on the country's western shore.

Ghana's Deputy Ambassador to Saudi Arabia fires gunshots at ‘noisy’ church

Tamale residents living around the neighbourhood of Ghana’s deputy ambassador to Saudi Arabia Hajia Boya Gariba were engulfed with fear Sunday morning after the diplomat started firing gunshots at a nearby church.

According to reports, Hajia Gariba resorted to the action after the Spring of Life Assembly Church had failed to heed to a warning for them to tone down with noise on Christmas Day.

The church members reportedly manhandled and injured a young boy who was sent by the diplomat to ask them to reduce the noise emanating from their service.

Confirming the incident to Starr News, Hajia Gariba said she gave the warning shots because the worshippers became aggressive after they failed to heed to her caution to tone down.

According to her, the move was only a self-defense mechanism.

“They came here to attack me so I had to call the regional commander, and I told them to stop, you won’t stop because its not a church. I did the shooting because they gave it (gun) to us for …
