Alanis Morissette Home Burglarized, $2 Million Stolen
Alanis Morissette is the latest celebrity burglary victim, and may have suffered the largest amount of damages to date: $2 million worth of jewelry was allegedly stolen.
The singer was not home at the time of the incident, which comes less than a month after Morissette’s business manager admitted stealing millions from her while handling her investments. As part of a plea deal, he copped to embezzling $4.8 million from his famous client. Though he and Morissette settled privatevly, the manager is still facing several years in prison for his crimes.
The burglary also follows a number of similar situations involving other stars. Most recently, as Gossip Cop reported, Nicki Minaj’s home was burglarized and vandalized late last month, with nearly $200,000 worth of goods stolen.
Prior to that incident, Cesar Milan was targeted in a burglary, while other victims over the last year include Kevin Hart, Soulja Boy, Scott Disick, and Blac Chyna. There has been no evidence to suggest, however, the crimes are related.
