Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Ama K Abebrese, Nikki Samonas For International Women’s Day Art Exhibition

Horizons Offices proudly presents, a one of a kind art exhibition. Put together in collaboration with Kings Crown Media and Level 8, the Goddesses of Art Exhibition which comes off on Wednesday March 8th looks to curate a unique night of music, stimulating dialogue, and compelling art.

Featuring works exclusively from female painters, the event is in commemoration of this year’s International Women’s Day. Organizers reveal to ENEWSGH, that is aimed at empowering women, and projecting their craft.

Speaking on the the motive of the event, organizers stressed on the relevance of the art industry, and the importance of creating an environment to enhance it:

“being an artist myself, I feel that in Ghana, we need to do more to celebrate and promote the fine art industry. There’s no better way to start this than a significant day like International Women’s Day”, Joy FM’s Kofi Laing, who is project coordinator for the exhibition submitted.

Speakers who have been named for the event include Airtel CEO Lucy Quist, and a speaker from the 40 Roses Foundation. Afro-soul singer Adomaa will treat patrons to live renditions of songs off her majestic catalogue.

The night is also expected to be graced by ace broadcasters Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Doreen Andoh, Berla Mundi, rapper Kwaw Kese, as well as actresses Ama K. Abebrese and Nikki Simonas.

The Goddesses of Art Exhibition comes off at the premises of Horizons Offices (on the 8th floor of the One Airport Square building) and commences at 6pm. It is under the auspices of Geoplast Ghana, the country’s foremost name in supply and sales of formwork for construction.
