The ranking, which will showcase the best performing startups based on its annual gross turnover, staff strength, innovation, number of years in operations amongst other things, is spread across categories which include Agriculture, Financial and Insurance Services, Fashion, Technology, Media, Lifestyle and Entertainment, Manufacturing, Health and Education, Retail and e-Commerce, Energy, Petroleum and Mining Services

The ranking which was previously released in 2016 as the 100 Globally Competitive Startups in Ghana will be released ahead of the 2017 Ghana Startup Awards to be hosted in May.

Giving startups their due recognition goes a long way to boost their morale, inspire confidence and encourage them to still persevere to succeed despite the daunting challenges most of them face in building their businesses, he added. He expressed his excitement about having Premium Bank on board as partners and applauded their effort at supporting Startups as part of their HelpStation Initiative aimed at making them the most preferred SME Bank in Ghana.
