Photos: Kente at Ghana@60 independence parade

Ghanaians from all walks of life on Monday morning trooped to the Black Star square to witness the colourful celebration of the 60th independence anniversary. The event is being marked with a colourful parade and march past as global attention is focused on the country.

There is a showcase of culture as part of a number of national activities lined up to celebrate the significant milestone.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces and President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will review the parade involving some selected schoolchildren, personnel of the security agencies and some voluntary organisations.
