Sandro Ramirez: Everton sign Spanish striker from Malaga

Everton have signed Spanish striker Sandro Ramirez from Malaga.

The 21-year-old has signed a four-year deal with the Toffees after they met the player's £5.2m buy-out clause.

Sandro scored 14 goals for Malaga in La Liga in 2016-17, having joined them from Barcelona last summer.
"This is a big step in my career," Sandro told EvertonTV. "Everton is the ideal club for me, I've got the ideal manager who is going to keep giving me the confidence to improve my game."

He added: "It's a big jump in my career coming to the Premier League and for a club like Everton which is really on the up.

"They have got big plans and want to succeed and keep developing."

Everton are also hopeful of confirming the £25m signing of Burnley's England defender Michael Keane on Monday.

Keane, 24, is expected to undergo a medical before completing the formalities of his move.

Keane's signing, and the completion of the Sandro deal, will take Everton's spending to more than £90m in this transfer window.

They have already signed Sunderland's England's Under-21 goalkeeper Jordan Pickford for up to £30m and brought in Ajax captain Davy Klaassen in a move worth almost £24m.

Nigeria striker Henry Onyekuru arrived from KAS Eupen in Belgium for £7m - although he will spend the next 12 months on loan at Anderlecht.

Keane's expected arrival will not be the end of Everton's big spending, with manager Ronald Koeman determined to test Swansea City's resolve to keep 27-year-old Iceland midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.

The Toffees may also conduct further business with Burnley this summer after reports talks have opened over striker Andre Gray.
