Tony Elumelu Foundation Praised At Lagos Entrepreneurial Forum
Hundreds of African Entrepreneurs and other stakeholders who are
attending the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneur forum were
thrilled by the level of support being provided by the founder of TEF,
Mr. Tony Elumelu to showcase the innovation and entrepreneurial
potential that exists in Africa.
The 2-day forum which was taken place in Lagos, the
commercial city of Nigeria brought together entrepreneurs and media
practitioners from around Africa with aim at getting
the taste of how to be a good and better entrepreneur in their
respective field of concentrations.
According to the organizer (TEF), the objective of the forum is to
develop a strong and integrated brand identity for the TEF
Entrepreneurship forum; to develop high quality, cutting edge content
across traditional, digital and social media platforms to promote the
Foundation as the partner of choice on African entrepreneurship.
In appreciation of the work of the TEF, empowering young Africans on
the continent, the Country Representative of the International Red Cross
committed an amount of one million United States dollars to the
Foundation in order to help in its services to the young generation of
Africa.
At the forum also in attendance was Africa’s richest businessman,
Aliko Dangote who spoke highly on how his company will help to reduce
the huge unemployment problem faced with Africans in their respective
countries. Mr. Dangote concluding his statement at the Forum called on
Africans to invest in agriculture if they are to grow successfully in
business.
