Oldest man in acting! Hollywood icon Kirk Douglas marks 101st birthday with wife, Anne, 98, by his side
Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas rang in his milestone 101st birthday on
Saturday and he celebrated it with his wife Anne, 98, in Los Angeles.
The couple who have been married for 63 years looked very fit and
happy as they welcomed guests and posed for photos in matching
wheelchairs underneath a stunning 101 floral wreath.
The Spartacus actor and his wife were even able to walk to the end of
their driveway to thank the photographers who extended birthday wishes
to the Oscar-winning actor. Kirk donned a navy blue cardigan and black
trousers for his birthday as he joined his actress wife, who was clad in
a pastel pink ensemble for the special photo.
Speaking about the couple's happy marriage in an interview with
Closer Weekly for his 100th birthday Kirk said: "I was lucky enough to
find my soulmate 63 years ago, and I believe our wonderful marriage and
our nightly ‘golden hour’ chats have helped me survive all things."
Kirk's grandson Dylan Douglas - whose parents are actress Catherine
Zeta-Jones and son Michael Douglas - wasted no time in paying tribute to
his famous relative, when he took to Instagram to share a heart-warming
snapshot of himself with his star grandfather. Kirk's daughter-in-law
Catherine Zeta-Jones also shared a snap of herself with him.
