Ghana commits 200 troops as ECOWAS readies for Gambia showdown

Former President George H.W. Bush was admitted to an intensive care unit on Wednesday, and his wife, Barbara, was hospitalized as a precaution, according to his spokesman.
The former president was admitted to the ICU at a Houston hospital to "address an acute respirator problem stemming from pneumonia," family spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement. McGrath said the former first lady was hospitalized as a precaution after experiencing fatigue and coughing.
George Bush was taken to the hospital over the weekend for shortness of breath. McGrath said earlier Wednesday that the 92-year-old Bush was responding well to treatments.
The 41st president was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Saturday, McGrath said in an email to The Associated Press.
"Doctors and everyone are very pleased, and we hope to have him out soon," McGrath said.

The upcoming all-female Ocean's Eight film has just added a new cast member - Kim Kardashian.
The reality TV star and her half-sister Kendall Jenner will make cameo appearances in the film.
It will be the fourth movie in the Ocean's franchise in 17 years - confusingly coming after Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen.

Man's face shattered after e-cigarette exploded in his mouth (photos)

This is what they call from frying pan to fire. E-cigarettes are meant to help people quit smoking, but apparently, it also has its own danger which seems greater compared to the danger of tobacco cigarettes.

Andrew Hall from Idaho US lost seven teeth, suffered facial burns, and had bits of plastic stuck into his face after the e-cigarette he was smoking exploded in his mouth.

  His face was not the only thing damaged in the explosion. Images Hall shared on Facebook show a broken sink, soot-stained walls and blood splattered tiles, all resulting from the explosion.

Hall shared his experience via his Facebook account to warn fellow vapers of the dangers of vaping.

Yaya Toure: Man City midfielder rejects £430,000-a-week move to China

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has turned down a £430,000-a-week offer from China. Toure, 33, was the subject of interest from the Chinese Super League last summer.

Former President George H.W. Bush was recently admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital after falling ill with an undisclosed illness.
"He's there. He's fine and he's doing really well," Bush's chief of staff, Jean Becker, said. She said the doctors have a couple of theories about Bush's condition, but he is responding to treatment.
Bush, who lives in Houston, is expected to be discharged in the next couple of days. Bush, 92, served as president from 1989 to 1993.

Tupac Shakur Biopic ‘All Eyez On Me’ Gets Summer Release From Lionsgate’s Summit

The Tupac Shakur biopic from Morgan Creek has been given a summer release date, opening wide on June 16, 2017. Summit Entertainment is distributing All Eyez On Me, which chronicles the rapper’s life and legacy including his rise to superstardom as a hip-hop artist and actor as well as his imprisonment and prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records, where he was steeped in the East Coast/West Coast rap war.

The Gambia's president declares state of emergency

Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has declared a 90-day state of emergency a day before his official mandate ends.
He decried "extraordinary" foreign interference in his country's affairs and December's election.
Regional leaders have been unsuccessfully trying to persuade Mr Jammeh to hand over power to Adama Barrow, who won the polls.
The move comes after Nigeria deployed a warship to put further pressure on Mr Jammeh to step down.
Regional bloc Ecowas, the Economic Community of West African States, has prepared a Senegal-led force but maintains that military intervention would be a last resort.
In his televised announcement, Mr Jammeh said "any acts of disobedience to the laws The Gambia, incitement of violence and acts intended to disturb public order and peace" are banned under the state of emergency.
He said security forces were instructed to "maintain absolute peace, law and order".
