Gambia's President Adama Barrow names woman as Vice President

Ajaratou Fatoumata Tambajang has been selected as Vice President of The Republic of The Gambia. Tambajang, a conspicuous genius majority rule government dissident was a piece of the resistance coalition that unseated long time ruler Yahya Jammeh.

Soulja Boy charged with felony weapons possession

According to Associated Press, Los Angeles prosecutors have charged rapper Soulja Boy with felony possession of an assault weapon and a handgun.

Authorities have said the handgun was reported stolen from a Huntington Beach, California, police vehicle.
Soulja Boy is best known for his 2007 hit "Crank That (Soulja Boy)" and for his recent appearances on VH1's "Love and Hip Hop."

Tonto Dikeh shares lab result after it was alleged she was still drinking while pregnant

There have been so many rumours about Tonto Dikeh‘s marriage and why she and her husband might be having issues.
Over the weekend, there was a rumour that a domestic staff from Tonto Dikeh’s house had given an interview stating that the actress’ use of hard drugs had caused the breakup of her marriage.

According to the “domestic staff”, Tonto Dikeh’s use of cannabis and cocaine, even while breastfeeding her son, had caused her husband to leave the house.
Taking to Instagram a few minutes ago to debunk the rumours, Tonto Dikeh has shared a lab report showing that she was tested for several drugs and that the results were negative.

Actor fatally shot during Bliss n Eso music video in Brisbane

An actor has died after being shot while filming a music video in the Australian city of Brisbane.
The man, in his 20s, suffered a chest wound inside the Brooklyn Standard bar in Eagle Lane in the city centre, Queensland police said. 
Several firearms had been discharged during the filming just before 1400 local time (0400 GMT), said Detective Inspector Tom Armitt.
The video was for Sydney-based hip hop group Bliss n Eso.
The band's management released a statement to Australian news outlets confirming the death.
"The video production crew and our team are currently working with the police in their investigation and we are unable to provide further comment at this time," the statement said.
It said band members were not present at the time.

Insp Armitt told reporters police were conducting a criminal investigation.

Afcon 2017: Aubameyang blames lack of preparation for exit

Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes insufficient time together led to the hosts' group-stage elimination from the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Panthers needed to beat Cameroon on Sunday but could only draw 0-0.
Aubameyang said: "It is really annoying because we had chances. Sadly there are days when it doesn't go in, like my first chance from two metres out.
"We are all really disappointed. We didn't really have the time to prepare (for the tournament)."
Aubameyang reacted angrily after final whistle, storming off, kicking a ball off the pitch and not shaking hands with anyone.
Coach Jose Antonio Camacho told him to calm down but Aubameyang waved him away as he walked down the tunnel.

Facebook Live 'broadcasts gang rape' of woman in Sweden

Three men were arrested on suspicion of rape in Sweden on Sunday, following reports of an assault against a woman being live-streamed on Facebook.
Police in Uppsala were contacted in the morning by a woman who said she had seen a gang rape broadcast in a closed group on the site.
"You have been raped," one of the men said at the end of the video and then laughed, according to the viewer. 
Police later confirmed they, and "many" others, had seen the footage. 
The Facebook group is said to have several thousand members.
Police confirmed that they had found three men, aged between 19 and 25, and one woman at a local apartment. 
The men were arrested on the spot. 
Josefine Lundgren, 21, called the police when she saw the video. 
Speaking to Swedish tabloid Expressen, she said she saw one of the men tear the woman's clothes off and lie on top of her.
She also said one of the men had a gun.

FDA investigates "relabeled" Blue Jeans Energy Drink

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has initiated investigations into allegations of relabeled “Blue Jeans Energy Drink” on the Ghanaian market suggesting it was fake.

A video shared on social media by a consumer showed a sample of two different drinks that had been relabeled as “Blue Jeans Energy Drink,” even though they were other brands.

In a statement issued and signed in Accra by Mr Hudu Mogtari, Chief Executive Officer of FDA, he said the attention of the FDA had been drawn to the video which was circulating on social media on the said drink.
He said the FDA as part of its regulatory measures to protect public health and safety has commenced investigations into the purported energy drink.
“We acknowledge with deep concerns the potential safety issues this video raises and the apparent panic it has caused.
“The FDA regrets that the consuming public has had to grapple with this challenge, and wishes to assure the public that it has taken immediate steps to address the concern…
