Muslim White House staffer quits, slamming Trump’s travel ban

According to The Hill, a Muslim staffer on the National Security Council quit eight days into the Trump administration, citing President Trump's travel ban as the motivating factor in a personal account published Thursday by The Atlantic.
Rumana Ahmed joined the White House in 2011 and said she decided to stay on with the Trump administration in the hope of giving "the new president and his aides, a more nuanced view of Islam, and of America's Muslim citizens."
"Like most of my fellow American Muslims, I spent much of 2016 watching with consternation as Donald Trump vilified our community. Despite this - or because of it - I thought I should try to stay on the NSC staff during the Trump Administration," Ahmed wrote.
But she lasted just eight days, ultimately motivated to quit after the president signed an executive order on Jan. 27 temporarily banning travelers from seven predominately Muslim countries and halting entrance of all Syrian refugees. E…

See The Unfortunate Wardrobe Malfunction,” reads a headline from HollywoodLife, which goes on to claim the singer embarrassingly wet his pants while walking through West Hollywood on Thursday. 10 year old boy bitten by world's deadliest spider in Australia, makes incredible recovery after 12 vials of antivenom

A 10 year old boy bitten by the world's deadliest spider, the funnel-web spider, in Australia has miraculously recovered after he was administered 12 vials of anti-venom, the largest dose ever given to a patient in the country's medical history.

The boy, Matthew Mitchell was beaten on his hand while he and his dad were cleaning a shed, then he started sweating and frothing at the mouth . He was then rushed to the hospital and was discharged a day later, wowing wildlife experts.

“I’ve never heard of it, it’s incredible,” said Tim Faulkner, a wildlife expert. “And to walk out of hospital a day later with no effects is a testament to the antivenom.” Describing the bite, Mitchell told the Australian Daily Telegraph: “It [the spider] sort of clawed onto me and all the legs and everything crawled around my finger and I couldn’t get it off.” Darren Mitchell, the father of the boy, said: ‘He went from pain in his finger until getting the tingling up his arm ... but he staye…

Petition calls on Obama to run for president in France

Amid a presidential campaign that has been marred by scandal, conspiracy theories, and the spectre of a new far-right leader, disillusioned French voters have called for an outsider to join the race: Barack Obama.
A petition launched on Monday calls on the former US president to run in this year’s French elections, which will be held in April and May. Called Obama17, the petition aims to garner 1 million signatures by March 2015, and as of Friday morning, it had already gained 30,000, according to one of the people behind the effort. But even the people who launched the website acknowledge that the chances of Obama actually ascending to the Elysée Palace are virtually zero. French law requires presidential candidates to be French, which Obama is not.
But the impossibility of the campaign is also what inspired it. In a phone interview Thursday night, one of the people behind the petition, who asked only to be identified as “Antoine,” said he and three other friends decided to create the …

Kim Jong-nam 'killed by VX nerve agent found on his face

Kim Jong-nam, the half-brother of North Korea's leader, was killed by a highly toxic nerve agent, says Malaysia.
Mr Kim died last week after two women accosted him briefly in a check-in hall at a Kuala Lumpur airport.
Malaysian toxicology reports indicate he was attacked using "VX nerve agent", which is classified as a weapon of mass destruction by the United Nations.
There is widespread suspicion that North Korea was responsible for the attack, which it fiercely denies. It responded furiously to Malaysia's insistence on conducting a post-mortem examination and has accused Malaysia of having "sinister" purposes.
Malaysia's police chief Khalid Abu Bakar said on Friday that one of the women Mr Kim interacted with at the airport had also fallen ill with vomiting afterwards.
He said the airport and areas the suspects are known to have gone to would now be cleaned.
How deadly VX could have killed Kim Jong-nam

Leicester City sacks Coach Claudio Ranieri 9 months after winning Premier League Title

Reigning English Premier League Champions, Leicester City FC have released an official statement confirming the sack of it’s first team coach, Claudio Ranieri.
Ranieri was appointed as Leicester coach in July 2015 and went on to lead the Foxes to unarguably their greatest achievement in their entire 133-year history last season as he led his team to the English Premier League crown beating the usual bigwigs like Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City & Arsenalto the title. Nevertheless, results have been hard to come by on the domestic scene this season and the Board felt a change of leadership was necessary to engineer a reversal of fortunes this season.
Leicester City Vice Chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha said: “This has been the most difficult decision we have had to make in nearly seven years since King Power took ownership of Leicester City. But we are duty-bound to put the Club’s long-term interests above all sense of personal sentiment, no matter how strong t…

Video: Caitlyn Jenner lashes out at Donald Trump’s Transgender Bathroom bill

Republican and transgender activist, Caitlyn Jenner, who was a great supporter of Donald Trump is speaking out against President Donald Trump‘s latest move to lift federal protections for transgender students, which Pres Obama ordered. Obama's federal order stated that transgender students should be allowed to use public school bathrooms that matched their chosen gender identity.
President Trump rolled back the order and gave the authority to states to decide on what to do.
Apparently Caitlyn Jenner, missed the part which said it was up to each individual state to either allow transgender people use any bathroom or not because, Jenner released a video statement on various social media platforms lashing out at the President, saying he should call her. She said:
“I have a message for the trans kids of America: You’re winning. I know it doesn’t feel like it today or every day, but you’re winning,” Jenner said. “Very soon, we will win full freedom nation-wide and it’s goin…

Teachers impregnate 301 teenagers in Central Region

The acting Central regional Director of Health Dr. Stephen Anyomi has disclosed that teachers at the Primary and Secondary School levels are responsible for 5.9% of teenage pregnancies within the region.
Out of 12,048 teenage pregnancies in the region, 301 were impregnated by teachers. However, the 12,048 figure is a slight drop from the previous year’s figure of over 14,000 cases.
Dr. Anyomi who made this revelation during the opening ceremony for the service’s annual review underway at the University of Cape Coast [UCC],  said though there have been a slight decline in the number of recorded cases of teenage pregnancies, the region’s current standing in ratings of the menace is still alarming.
Giving details of a survey by the Ghana Health Service and the regional desk of the Department of Gender between July and December of 2016, Dr. Anyomi described the preliminary findings of the survey as interesting.
“Some 986 small scale farmers representing 19.6%, drivers contributed 1…
